Is it possible that this can b a early delivery. For tomorrow instead of Friday. How do I know if it's on the plane

Jan 16, 2013 10:33 PM
In transit
Location
SHANGHAI CN

That time stamp looks like you made FDX90 today, but the past 24 hours have seen a couple exceptions to the pattern. There's no way to know for sure until it makes another stop. In about 12 hours, if it's on 90, your tracking should show as "Arrived at FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN" and you should have it tomorrow.

Yep. FedEx now bumping me back a day to Fri. Thanks for over promising and under delivering. Nothing like tracking your delivery as it sits for days in the same place.

Mine has gone from Shanghai to Alaska to Kentucky to Alaska back to Kentucky:

Louisville, KY, United States 01/16/2013 2:27 Arrival Scan
Anchorage, AK, United States 01/15/2013 17:10 Departure Scan
Louisville, KY, United States 01/13/2013 8:19 Arrival Scan
Anchorage, AK, United States 01/12/2013 18:54 Departure Scan
01/12/2013 16:26 Arrival Scan
Shanghai, China 01/13/2013 1:35 Departure Scan

----------

This is the most messed up tracking I've ever seen. Why is the computer back in Alaska???

Anchorage, AK, United States 01/15/2013
Louisville, KY, United States 01/13/2013

Shanghai, China 01/13/2013
Shanghai, China 01/12/2013
Shanghai, China 01/11/2013
China 01/12/2013

Ours must be traveling together as mine did the same thing on the same days.

Perhaps the weather in Memphis is causing FedEx to change routes -
this is from their website:

The Memphis hub and flight operations experienced substantial disruptions last night due to a winter storm. Potential delays are possible for shipment deliveries across the U.S. FedEx is committed to provide service to the best of our ability.

Ordered base 27" with 1 TB fusion drive on Dec 22. I've been looking back at posts on this thread, and it seems there are a lot of people who ordered on Dec 22 and are still showing processing; this in spite of orders from later in Dec and even early Jan shipping. Has anyone had a Dec 22 order ship yet?

I noticed this too! I also ordered Dec 22nd & am stuck in processing limbo. If you look @ the spreadsheet, a lot of Dec 22 orders have not shipped while later orders continue to make progress. Did Apple just send our 12/22 orders to some black hole somewhere?!?

Winter storm conditions are causing national delays and disruptions.

That's what it says for those going to Incheon. What luck.

I'm thinking they misplaced some packages and mistakenly thought they were on the first trip over, then somebody tripped over them and (apparently) they're on the plane(s) today.

Just so that people facing bumps in the road know these things happen and it's not just happening to them, I am writing here to share my story.

Ordered Dec 4th, somehow the order messed up had to be re-ordered (under the same order number) on 14th Dec. Shipped 11 January, due for delivery today.

Contacted UPS when the trail went cold on 13 January was told 100% will be delivered today subject to customs clearance.

Now UPS telling me:

"Our system shows that an investigation is in progress for this package, which began on today January 16th. 2013. This investigation can take up to eight business days, and is updated on a daily basis. The shipper will be notified of the results as soon as the investigation is finalized"

When asked what does that mean, was told

"The last day to complete the delivery is today, however the shipper initiate a tracer on this package. I would recommend you to get in contact with the shipper to get more details."

When I pressed to understand why Apple initiated a tracer, I was told:

"Initiating a tracer means that the shipper report the package as lost and our investigation department will investigate to find the package to complete the delivery correctly"

Will you all forgive me if I scream REALLY loudly

Good morning guys. I registered just to post this and hopefully keep some of you encouraged. (I've lurked these forums for awhile anyways)

I live in New England and on December 31st I ordered a 27" iMac setup as:
3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
1TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5

My Available to Ship was listed as January.

Last night around 11:00 my order went from "Processing" to "Preparing for Shipment". Then this morning I was emailed a tracking number that shows a delivery date of January 22nd.

I did not call Apple CS to check on the order but, like most of you, I did check my account a few times throughout the day during the time I had placed my order until last night.

To those of you still waiting, hang in there! :)

Arrived at last!

Well my iMac arrived yesterday - ordered on 9th December (UK).

Bizarrely I'm still at 'Preparing for Shipment' according to the order status on my account! I wonder if that means the BOGOF offer code I entered on checkout actually worked... :p

Fedex said delivers 17th--just showed up

I had a feeling they were showing up today even though the tracking said tomorrow--be warned if you don't want to truck it down to the fedex place or wait another day.

Just to be safe I printed a pre sign because I am going out later. (in the country, no neighbors to or passersby to worry about)

Then the truck pulled up. I knew it!

Hello baby! You're home!:)

I hope everybody's new friend arrives safely and soon--sorry to hear about people having problems.

27" BTO Ordered on Dec 31st

If it's of any help to anyone else, I ordered my BTO 27" iMac on the last day of the year, and just received an email stating that it shipped out this morning from Shanghai (to Denver). It's estimated delivery date is Jan 22, via FedEx.

Good to hear I'm not the only one who got the good news today. Hopefully this is helpful or encouraging to some of you whoa are still waiting.

What is the configuration of your iMac?

This to me is so discouraging, I ordered a week before the 5th and have seen zero progress!

But on the other hand, congratz on being one of those lucky ones.

December 22nd Club

Add me to the group that ordered on 12/22 and haven't heard a thing. If I am being honest with myself, I know I am not going to cancel, but it is tremendously frustrating to see a large number of orders that occurred after ours be processed, prepared, shipped, unpacked, and posted from. It is equally frustrating that it appears to be a pattern that those of us who ordered on the 22nd haven't had any progress or success in getting updates, and yet this goes unrecognized by any support staff with Apple.

What more can we do but continue to wait, as this room begins to get lonelier and lonelier? More power to the people who cancel, but I guess I will just go down with the ship. Hope we ALL hear something (good preferably) soon.

Thank you. After initiating a trace, the package was found in Cologne, Germany and been put on the next flight out. Delivery now probably tomorrow, maybe Friday. But not before Apple ordered a replacement machine of their own volition (and without reference to me) as they believed the original machine to be lost. Delivery due 22 February. Might have two machines the way this is going...
