delivery truck taking FOREVER

I waited all day for UPS to show up, kept checking my tracking just to make sure they didn't pull a fast one and claim to try and deliver when they really didn't. I've had that happen a few times, unfortunately. Sure enough at 3:45 I check tracking and get the Yellow Exception of Death, "We tried to deliver but you weren't home". So I went flying to the door sure I wasn't going to find a delivery attempt ticket, but there it was! 
How could that have happened?!? I've been home all day, I have 2 dogs that bark when a mouse farts never mind every time someone drives up our driveway, knocks on the door or rings the bell. Are you kidding me?!?
Now I'm trying to kill some more time until I can drive over the the UPS center near me and pick up up. The driver should be back by 5:30, so I should have it and be back home by 6:00. Unbelievable. I knew I should have camped out on the side porch, laying in wait for him.

Yeah that just happened to someone else in the forum. That's happened to me at my last house once or twice. I don't know if I legitimately failed to hear the delivery guy or if he pulled a fast one. The acoustics are different at this house. As long as I don't go to the basement I'm good to hear the truck or the bell. My tracking information says something about delivery by 4:30 (by end of day for residential deliveries).
Almost 5:30 and no show yet, but our UPS guy comes as late as 8PM at times, so not really sure what to think...
If they dont show for whatever reason, can you pick it up at the local UPS place on Saturdays?

I just gave up and got back inside in my room and playing games and watching for him in my cameras

Well it looks like UPS did show up while I was racing through my exam, but the leasing office was closed so I assume they did not attempt delivery, and will return later. My tracking is still showing "Out For Delivery".
Lmao. Hopefully you're recording in case they try to pull a "nobody was home" and skip your house.

but darn ups guy is just too much lol 4:26pm already and really tired of him waiting .

oh yea it records 24/7 with 3tb hard drive which records about 12-13 days and deletes/overwrites the last date with new.

Once it's on a truck for delivery UPS should match the truck GPS to your tracking number so you can watch the truck drive around the neighbourhood using apple or google maps.

i bought mine which was 12ch and i think its was 1tb standard and i upgraded it to 3 by myself. see faces / plate upto like 5-10 feet (clear) * and after there its * little clear/blurry faces/plate but can still make out.
