I didn't think I'd see the day when Apple was being defended by pointing out its similarities to Jennifer Lopez! ;) :D

Well, I wasn't thinking too much of it in that way... but I guess you could say that both Apple and J-Lo are designed, on the outside at least, by extremely well paid technicians. Or is that taking things too far?

You know I honestly don't think the powerbooks look better than the XPS gen 2. That just varies depending on the person. I would have to say gettin g a dell laptop is a much better value than an Apple though. I have a Dell Inspiron XPS gen 2 which is tripple boot, Windows XP pro/ Gentoo linux / Mac os X x86 10.4.

My specs are:
Inspiron XPS gen 2
2.0 GHz P-M
2 GB DDR2 RAM
17" WUXGA True Life
Geforce go 6800 Ultra
100 GB 5400 RPM
8x DL DVD+-RW
2x80 Whr batteries
Dell XPS Gen 2 Backpack
4 year warranty In home warranty
Total w/california tax: $2361.25

I must say you can't beat that price comparing it to a macintosh.

I honestly think that the mac OS is a good OS. I happen to be more into linux than windows. I havent even had windows installed on my desktop system for 4 years. However I also think that hardware-wise mac's suck. Sorry =(

I Love My iBook!

When I see overwrought crap like this, I appreciate the clean lines of my iBook more than ever. Michael Dell needs to hire more industrial designers and fewer blind people.

Yup quad based PowerMacs suck:eek:

PPC is a good chip if only we could figure a way to use it and not run away from it to x86
