I tossed the same question around at the end of last year, and I have to agree with everyone who has said get a DELL. That's what I did and I don't regret it one bit.

The biggest winning point for me? Multiple inputs. The utility it gives adds so much value to the screen it's hard to ignore. Right now I've got my Mac Pro (DVI), Xbox 360 (VGA), Wii (Component), and a TV tuner (S-Video) all plugged in to it at the same time, just a button press away from each other, and I still have 1 input free! The picture-in-picture mode is handy with the TV-tuner too.

So yeah, if you're spending money on a large screen, you might as well make sure it's a screen you can get the most out of. The ACD costs a lot more for a lot less...

I agree. Not only does the Dell 2407WFP provide all those additional inputs for multiple sources, it does it for a lot less money. The refurbished 24" 2407WFP 1920x1200 is only $539 at the Dell outlet and the 30" is only $1049 at the Outlet. I have 4 Dells and they all work great. If you have more than one Mac the HP LP3065 30" for $1699 or less may be a better choice due to the fact it's the only 30" with 3 DL DVI inputs. None of the 30" screens support video inputs nor VGA.

I have Dell 24" Display and it looks great. Even the gamer sites rate this monitor as being good for gaming also.

You can't go wrong.
