I've maybe not *exactly* the answer you're looking for, however, I have two Macs connected to one of my two P2715Q displays - a late-2013 rMBP connected to the DP port and 2012 Mini Server connected to the mDP port. I use the OSM to switch Macs - the Mini Server hosts my files and the rMBP is my main Mac. I've also connected an AppleTV to the HDMI port, using the OSM to watch a bit of entertainment.Hey everyone,
As far as I see, these monitors have a minidisplayport In and displayport In - is it possible to connect an osx machine and a windows machine and use the monitor to switch between them while providing 4k 60hz both?
Thinking of gathering a windows machine for gaming-only, however if it's not possible for this monitor to switch between the two, I will probably dismiss the idea

of course you can switch inputs...
switching inputs is one thing, but at least 2 inputs being able to support 4k at 60hz is something else
Jumping in back here, kaans was asking about 4k at 60Hz - read kaans' original post about this matter. I'd already posted feedback in this regard - and, there's no "spec sheet" (my small company has 15 of these displays, including two on my desk, and I can offer that there is no "spec sheet" for this display...).it has displayport and minidisplayport that both support 4k. check the spec sheet.

I don't know what you are trying to achieve, however, there is no technical spec sheet available, you can't see what resolution each input support, for example, can you answer whether the HDMI supports 4k at 60Hz with certainty? I don't think so
IMO you're attempting to pick nits - I design and build bridges and rehab commercial buildings for a living, that's not spec sheet. The web page is a web page with some of the display's "technical specifications" and is IMO marketing data with a "tech data" label, and that web page does not contain key data about the displays, including resolutions (not just the optimal resolution), which version of HDMI/DP is included, or even whether it's a TR or TRS speaker-out jack. The manual isn't great in this regard, either. Let's help kaans or go fishing...
Dell monitors are all glitchy like that, as I read online and based on my own experienceI have just purchased two of the P2715Q's and have them running on my nMP (2013). I've noticed one of the monitors blinks black periodically, maybe once an hour or so. It's not that frequent (I run them scaled to 2560x1440). However, I ran them both at 4k for a bit, and noticed they started blinking black about once a minute. It was really annoying. Any idea why they're doing this? (handshake issues perhaps?) Is one of the monitors faulty, or should I have rebooted to clear up the issue? I didn't reboot between res switches.

Out of curiosity, have you tried switching the monitors to see whether it's an issue with the cable or that specific DP port?
I'm also having that issue, the monitor turns completely black for a few seconds even the audio stops it happens to me like every 15 minutes. Running at full 4k resolution on a mid 2014 rMBP.I have just purchased two of the P2715Q's and have them running on my nMP (2013). Just got the 2715q, using with my late 2013 15" rMBP (w/ the 750M) in SST on 10.10.5. As other have mentioned, I notice a slight UI lag when using quick look and expose. Also, the monitor goes into power safe mode when restarting the MBP.
Can anyone who has one of the "officially supported" (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202856) MBPs (in SST at 60Hz)...
..confirm that the monitor doesn't go dark/unresponsive (in clamshell mode) when restarting?

Thanks in advance!
