You guys do all know that the Optiplex line are intended for businesses, to be used as centrally-managed workstations, right? Dimension = home line (some business), Optiplex = business line. They're not shooting at the same market as the iMac...

Speaking of Minis...

Did anyone see the thread that had the link to the guys putting a mini in a 69 Nova? it was mounted in the dash, and had an lcd touchscreen display. pretty sweet. google it. the other thing is, Appleinsider.com reports that a smaller, and thus cheaper, Apple display is on the way. A 15" cinema would be badass to compliment the mini. make it 399 and you got a buyer! okay okay, i know thats improbable, but a boy can dream...

True, but it doesn't make the design (*cough*) any less laughable :)

they have a bunch of these in the trinity university library (not a student but go to the library frequently) and they are just fugly! luckily they're hidden in little cubicles so it's hard to see behind the display. there's even signs up about where the floppy or cd-rom, i forget, is located! all i can say is no. just, no.

Continuing the theme from another thread.

It's a screen with a slab behind it. Big deal. And what's up with these crappy Dell LCD feet, anyway? They all tend look like 1970s dining chairs.

Who trains these designers?
What retard hires them?
What kind of redneck focus group approves it?
What kind of moronic Dir... (Michael Dell... NM)

This is no longer an "Oh, but it's a PC." rant. This is rather more "This product looks like a turd, and must have been designed and approved by human beings" rant. I just don't get it!

It's not ugly enough to make me want to vomit, but it is pretty bad. A typical windows-fan boy would love it though

I would like to know how stable that thing is. The minute I saw it, I pictured Sam Kinnison using it:

"Ok, just put this ***** CD in here... and... OH MY GOD! IT JUST "#$%& FELL OVER! WHAT THE $#%&? WHAT A #$"%& PIECE OF "$%&'%!!! YOU %&'()0 SUCK YOU $#%&#$ PIECE OF "#$%&' &%'=0!!!AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!"
