I busted my HDMI cable that’s running through my ceiling and for the life of me I can’t fish another through.

Can't you use the old HDMI to run a new cable? Overlap the cables a bit and tape them together real good. Then pull out the old one at the same time the new one is pulled into place.

That was the first thing I tried. There isn’t enough room to overlap the cables and when I trail the new cable it gets caught up at the corner.

I can confirm the AirPlay 2 update installed on the following AVRs/pre-amp that I have:

  • Marantz AV8805 (2018 model)
  • Marantz NR1608 (2017 model)
  • Denon AVR-X4300H (2016 model)
I tested them all this morning. The sync feature works perfect, and you can set the individual volumes of each, all while raising the "master" volume, and they stay in sync at their relative levels.
[doublepost=1537864175][/doublepost]Hi,

You might be the one to tell me how I get my Marantz SR8012 to play output on my HomePod?

Thanks

Wrong answer :( But thanks for very fast reply :) Any suggestionl at all to have the Marantz to work as source with the HomePod?

No.

In what scenarios would you have something playing on the Marantz that you can’t have playing via iPhone?

Hi,
Playing Tidal via my iPhone (or iPad) all to often stop playing due to something (Tidal have informed they know the problem, and are working on it).
Now I play Tidal via Heos on the Marantz, and there I would like to play via AirPlay as well (in another room).
I know I can play Tidal via my AppleTV, and there use AirPlay, but then I can't use a remote (an iPad) to select the music (like I can today from my iPad - Heos - Maranz).
Thanks again.

For that scenario, I’d recommend a dedicated iPod Touch/iPad, just to run your Tidal. Or, give Apple Music a try :)
