My status says at DSF and I'm getting kind of tired waiting for a truck to stop by. Anyone use a shipment release authorization form?

EDIT: FedEx finally stopped by. No signature required (AT&T order), he left the boxes at the door and walked away before I even got a chance to open the door.

Just got mine from fedex around 1pm est. Was scheduled to arrive today, but still says at dest sort facility. I'm in downtown Orlando FL, colonial town area

mine finally arrived...luckily my wife was home for a few hours today and timed it right. Tracking still says "at sort facility" and mine was showing a delivery date of 6/24 if that helps anyone.

12:15 central time. Still no sign of the FedEx truck. It's hot. Birds are chirping. It's the usual silent sounds of a mid day Wednesday when most of the people of the world are off at work some where.

I wait.

It says to leave new iPhone off and fully charge, haha...YEAH RiGHT! It's already close to fully charged according to the battery indicator. Time to activate!

Well FedEx just came...

...parked in front of my apartment, delivered a package to my neighbors and drove off.

Sigh.

Mine just arrived as well, even though Fedex still shows it at my DSF and delivering tomorrow. Setting up NOW. :)

Mine just showed up 30 minutes ago. Set to deliver tomorrow per FedEx, received 23rd correction email and last status showed a sort facility.

My package arrived at home a few minutes ago  !! The other half is opening it now as we speak while I wait for his to turn up here at work. My tracking info still says it's in Franklin, MA. I'm in Lynn so if you live near me, it shouldn't be too long!

From the KANSAS CITY MO/KS - South suburbs

I've seen TWO FedEx trucks on my street this morning - neither time was at my house.

FIRST TRUCK - 10:40am CST; Priority Delivery (was a BIG truck)

SECOND TRUCK - 11:10am; much smaller truck

I am getting worried that it may be tomorrow for my phone. Even though I received the "early delivery" email from Apple and my tracking status shows my phone has been at the 'Sort Facility' Since 1:30am this morning.

Oh, welll.................. THIS SUCKS!

Anyway, I am happy for all of you who have received your phones!

My Fedex guy said they got a big shipment in of them yesterday and he was wondering how many people would be waiting at home for them. haha. Seemed like I was his first iPhone delivery today. He was cool though.

What time is your normal FedEx delivery? Or do you have one?

I'm in downtown KC and mines usually around 12:30. Waiting for my wife to call me and tell me it is there.

Got mine about 1:30pm EDT...after saying it was in the local sort facility all morning. Never did go "out for delivery." It just now updated to show that it went to the closer local facility at 7:45AM...so it's running way behind.

Also it's worth noting that someone else in my neighborhood got theirs at around 10:30, but mine was about 3 hours later. Must be different trucks or something.

Another odd thing is that I didn't need to sign. The guy left it at the door and was walking away when I answered the door. He turned around and just said "have a good day!" and kept on going.

Great. I hear a loud truck noise by my house...Is it Fedex? Nope, UPS. Never been so unhappy to see UPS ;)

On a sidenote, does anyone know what "left fedex ramp" means? Does that mean it was loaded onto a truck or what?

I just got a message from my wife. FedEx just dropped off my iPhone at 2:10 PM EDT. Status on FedEx showed that it was "At dest sort facility" in Romulus, MI at 2:30 AM. I checked again after getting notified that it was delivered & now it shows that it was "At local FedEx facility" at 7:54 AM in Northwood, OH. My estimated delivery was for tomorrow. I live just south of Toledo, OH in Perrysburg, OH. Anyone else in NW Ohio get theirs? Can't wait to get home in a couple hours.

Dude, I'm out in south Overland Park, and just as started typing this reply, my doorbell rang and it was the FEDEX guy with my phone!

It is now 1:19pm CST.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE and KEEP THE FAITH!

Same trouble different locale

I'm here in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. My phone is apparently at the "sort facility." I want to call them and see if I can pick it up myself. It's crazy having to wait when I could drive down the street and pick it up..... if it was really there.

if it came to the facility yesterday, you will get it today :)

You posted that you wanted to to pick up a package from a sort facility. Fed Ex's is required to make an attempt for a delivery. Asking them to make an exception would be asking them to break their protocols.

Actually calling the Fed Ex sort facility the morning while they are trying to get the trucks loaded is a bit indicative of someone who needs to calm down.

It's coming...very possibly a day early which no one would have expected. Worst case, it comes on the official launch day.

I get that this was said years ago but I hope you somehow read this anyway. *FedEx isn't required to do anything.* Why in the world would they have "HOLD FOR AT FEDEX FACILITY" if they were? UPS allows you to walk in and pick up a package if it's at that facility. You just have to wait 10-15 minutes while they go look for it. Trust me, I lived across the street from the largest UPS hubs in L.A. and was averaging 1 package a week.

FedEx what you're describing is FedEx's misguided (lazy?...) attempt at streamlining. At least UPS is reliable. There may be times when they're not as fast as FedEx but that's what happens when you anything "GROUND." And they actually knock on when a package needs to be signed for. But I suppose by your logic asking Fedex drivers to knock would "be asking them to break their protocols."

Stop picking on people for wanting something they paid good money for and have been anticipating... All while UPS allows pickup from the destination sort facility.
