Latest Rumor: Apple is holding Sapphire back for their new wearable shoe mirror product.

The Beats lightning connector headphones are very interesting; glad to see those rumors keeping up. I do not expect it this soon however.

I do think it is clear that the next redesign of the iPhone (iPhone 7) will see the removal of the headphone jack. It will now be the thickest point on the device, and Apple doesn't like limitations like that.

IDK, this would be a pretty bold move... Unless they innovate in that area and change the industry standard, I don't think they'll be losing the 3.5mm jack anytime soon..

There was a time when portable devices were considered to be more advanced and practical than previous generations when they were smaller (walkman, discman, minidisc)...i just hope Apple keeps trying to squeeze a 4inch screen into a smaller casing...many of us just don't want to carry huge phones around (or wear a nerdy watch that also has to be charged ).

There's one thing I don't understand about the rumors, if true. They are treating the larger iPhone as if it's the better, more premium device. I want, and am willing to pay for the latest technology, best glass, fastest processor, but I just happen not to prefer the larger screen size. So that's why I don't understand and am hoping aren't true the rumors that the larger screen size will get the 'better' components. Bigger shouldn't mean better in this case, it should just be about the size preference.

Me too... Im hoping that these are premium upgrade options like their macs. More ram, faster processor, sapphire screen...

I believe Apple will have some sort of mobile payment system, linked to the fingerprint scan. I don't think Visa will be the only one accepting iPhone payments....I'm sure both Mastercard and Amex will want to be able to accept payments as well.

Tap to pay is fast and great but if someone steals your card, it exposes Visa, Mastercard and Amex to huge liability. Introduce a tap-fingerprint scan-pay system, it becomes bulletproof.

There will be some sort of payment system coming and I would be surprised if it were NFC but you never know.

Also, I doubt sapphire will be on the whole display. Probably just the home button and the iWatch.

"The site's source also "stresses" that the listed features may not be the "final spec list" for the iPhone 6, so the overall reliability of the provided information is unclear."

Not be the final spec list, for a phone which is going to be announced in a month and sold 6 weeks from now. The final spec list was fixed a long time ago as was every single detail of manufacturing, the chips, the process, everything down to the last blob of solder.

When sites put disclaimers like that on their predictions they remove what tiny little piece of credibility they had left.

Apple was absolutely against a iPad Mini ('sandpaper for your fingertips')

Never Say Never.

Jobs was against the iPad mini. (but yeah... Jobs was Apple at that time)

To be honest... the screen on a 7" tablet is kinda small. I can see what Steve was talking about.

While the sandpaper comment was a little exaggerated... Apple went in the right direction with the iPad mini.

apple gonna be pissssed

No they're not - they'll provide a small adaptor or adaptors in the box with your phone which provides enough compatibility to let your phone charge from a micro USB plug and/or use your apple charger to charge a phone with a micro USB socket.

And just as with different rates of taxation in different countries, the cost of the adaptor will be added to the price of phones sold in Europe to cover the cost.

Agreed. I just got a Nexus 7 for my mom, and the screen just feels too small for a tablet. The iPad mini on the other hand feels like the right size for a small tablet.

How is the Lightning connector for headphones a good idea, other than for thinness? Headphone connectors provide all the same features, two analog audio lines, a mic, and music controls. If iPhones only allowed users to use Beats headphones, Apple would lose very many customers.

This is 100% on the money... and yet, if Apple did SOMEHOW decide to go this route, I'm sure they'd be happy to sell a $35 "headphone-jack-to-Lightning-adapter" to the 95% of their users who would need one!

I sure hope those mock ups are way off with regards to design. All that "roundness" isn't as great looking as the iphone AND like the ipod touch 5 I just got- it is exactly rounded like the mock ups and is very slippery when one handed ' cause there is not any "edge". I love the way the iphone 5's and BB z10's look. That clean cut squared off look is polished looking.

The 5/5S looks pretty blocky and dated next to the new shape.

I like the blocky shape of the 5. iOS 8 has a built in timer for the camera now, it'll be useless if I can set my phone on the edge and walk away.

I know it hurts, we all want sapphire, but Apple does this all the time. Intentionally cripple a product so they can have a talking point for the "s" release.

iPhone 6S, now with impenetrable sapphire display!!!! Magic!
Actually every time an S comes out, they always put in something good. The S's brought Siri, and Touch ID.

Really don't like the round edge design.

The first few iPhones had the round edges and when they released the iPhone 4 it was beautiful. Like they trimmed off the baby fat and had a sleek slate design that also works better with cases and add on attachments.

Although I also like the 5(S) shape I was also never a fan of its two-tone color scheme and mixed materials for the back of the phone. I've come to accept it. I still think the 4(S) was the nicest design overall. Wrapping a stainless steel band around the phone that acted as both exoskeleton and its antenna was brilliant and classy. It hid the functionality into the design unlike the 5(S) which clearly shows its functionality in the way it changes materials on the top and bottom of the backside to let radio signals through. As Steve Jobs said about the iphone 4, its like an old Leica camera. Beautiful.

So the idea that they would go back to a fattened up round edge design(even if they make it thinner) just turns me off completely. Especially if they also do the two-tone 5(S) thing. Just seems like Jony Ive is phoning it in at that point. Like he just decided to give up and make the same boring design as every Android phone out there.

So I really hope we don't see those round edges come September.

What product has Apple ever crippled? Why can't people simly understand how technology works. If it progresses enough for a good experience Apple uses it. If it's not ready, Apple holds it back. Why would Apple hold something back when we all know technology keeps progressing? It does not serve the customer or them to delay anything for monetary reasons.
