Oh yes its coming early 2011 and i cant wait. I first played Deus EX it as an PS2 port many years ago and wasn't expecting much but was blown away. Then when i go the windows version it was even better than the port! Despite its age i loved the conspiracy theory storyline and of course the augmentations!!

Fast forward a few years to second and although i enjoyed it, the first was still the better game. I felt the second one was dumbed down a bit to appeal to more people. I however have high hopes for this one!!

Trailer available here http://www.deusex.com/

Likewise! Totally psyched!

I remembered playing the same several times over many years, doing it differently each time. Fantastic.

Agreed! I that was one of the best points of the game for me. You could finish the level how you wanted! Stealth, hacking computers, brute force! You choose!

Forget Neo from The Matrix, JC Denton was the One ;)

Just watched the trailer again, looks like elements from Arkham, and so much more violence too. Like the bit how you can stun people by throwing objects.

Well, seeing as it's been well over a year, I might pick it up again for nostalgia's sake. Good thing I have a cider port :)

Just finished watching all 4 trailers and i saw they included the crossbow in it! Used to love that weapon! I also noticed a move from Gears of War/SplinterCell where you could swiftly move from one side of door to next if you were flat against the wall. Wish i hadn't seen them now though as im really impatient and want it now!!! :)

I had the pleasure of playing Deus Ex: Invisible War before the original. It was a great game, but certainly the original blows it away.

I've read many reports from people who were disappointed with the sequel after playing the first - I didn't have that letdown, fortunately. :D

Looking forward to this game, and have been for a long time. Should be a good one!

I don't trust trailers. of course, they look good. that's what their purpose. I don't believe until I actually play. for example, there was so much about COD black ops. it seemed very anticipated. but shortly after coming out, I totally disappointed. I just sold two days later. modern warfare 2 is still better than that. anyway, my point is that you don' have to expect too much before playing it.

Iv'e been really disappointed with square-enix games as of late. lets hope they get their act together and don't mess up on this one.

As a big fan of DX (2nd favorite game ever) I am both excited and terrified. The trailers have been cool, but are way too action-oriented for my taste (amazing music, however.) I think HR will be a good game, possibly even a great one, but it will be very, very hard for the game to stay out of the shadow of the first without being bloody amazing. And certain design decisions (some third person views, takedowns, health regen, chest-high walls) seem to indicate that they are aiming for a more general console crowd. I'm most nervous about the story. Haven't been a fan of the lead writer's previous work. That said, previews from people who have played the first have been overwhelmingly positive, and it's clear they've nailed the multi-path approach and the cyberpunk feel.

BTW, the preorder treatment in the US has been terrible. Gamestop got a "preorder exclusive" of an entire mission featuring a character from DX 1.
All other preorders get a few useless weapons. The collector's edition everywhere else in the world contains both preorder packs, in the US you get one or the other. Pretty ridiculous. Good news is you can get it from game.co.uk and it's $5 US cheaper, even with shipping.

They are just publishing the game, Eidos Montreal is doing the work.

Hopefully I will have a computer that can run it.

First one is by far one of the best PC Games that has ever come out.

Thats a point haha! My radeon 2600HD in my iMac can handle l4d1 and l4d2 but they aren't exactly high requirements. This should be out about the time of the next Apple refresh anyway so lets see what graphics we are offered :D

Yeah it does look a bit action heavy but then maybe they have focused on action trailers so far to draw newcomers in. Hopefully there will be enough DX1 in the game to make it stand out above the crowd.

Yeah, got a crappy 2600 as well...gonna build a hackintosh for this. Too bad Apple refuses to build a minitower.

Think im going to get a new iMac. The 2600 has done well considering gaming wasn't even a consideration when i bought the machine. Right now however i do feel the best value for money macs are the iMacs. Id love a 27" but it would mean getting a new desk. Im hoping the refresh happens around march time next year and that they bump up the 21.5"s graphics card. Matte display option wouldn't be a bad thing either :D

so is this game going to be for a Mac, or will I have buy Windows and use bootcamp?

Also, does it matter what copy of windows I get to run boot camp? 32 bit 64 bit?

The build sent to journalists was leaked a while ago (first 10 hrs), and, unable to resist, I downloaded it.

Guys, this is Deus Ex. It's back. And it's bloody terrific. Beat it in a day.

Cannot. Wait. To finish it.

Great news! Time has flown since i started this thread but this game still remains top of my most anticipated titles i want to get my hands on! On a lesser note i still have that 2007 iMac. But should be upgrading in next few weeks. :)
