I would like to see an app that i used to have on my version one jailbroken iphone called mcleaner. Its a call filter app. Like, when somebody calls u frmo a blocked number, it rejects the call and sends a busy tone. It also had blacklists and white lists for who can call u and such. It would be a great app.

You should make it something tht is very important to other students and maybe even your professor too to get some ass-kiss points. Something useful and complex, I would suggest a remake of the classic game SCORCHED EARTH. Yes, I think this is smething that would greatly benefit the world eh?? Please make Scorched Earth iPhone edition. TY

I mentioned a display app above, but thought it best to clarify.

We can connect an adapter to the iPhone/iPod touch to view videos.

I would like to see the same functionality for anything displayed on the iPhone/iPod touch screen.

This would be very handy for those who must complete a presentation. Just do the following:
- Save PowerPoint presentation as slides (JPEGs).
- Import the slides into iPhoto.
- Sync slides onto iPhone/iPod touch.

A display app would allow the user to show a presentation, photos, and other screen shots to a projector. We could even conduct how to classes right on the iPhone/iPod touch.

a black list app
a app that has certain phone numbers go directly to voice mail and keeps a log
i had a app like this on my windows mobile phone... very useful when trying to avoid unwanted calls

Please try to make a MMS app. I know you can send pics trough email, but it is very tedious to email to a phone number. I know that i would pay at least $2.00 for an app like that, and most of my friends would as well

ignore. can't be done using the currently available SDK API's.

A personlized daily calorie counter.
This is a good idea, i'll look into this.

I have seen an app that allows you to wirelessly connect an iPhone to a computer and use an iPhone as a remote to navigate through slides. You seggest quite an extesion to this. I like this a lot and it will benefit to many people, however I will look if this could be done with the current API.

I thought there is an MMS app already, is there not?

Yes, even if there can't be a true MMS app, maybe there could be an app that takes the SMS message with the idiotic numbers that need to be used in viewmymessage.com and applies those codes in the appropriate places so that a user doesn't have to write down the numbers. And when sending a picture to a phone number, it would figure out the carrier with which that particular number is associated and would append the relevant information to the end of that phone number so that the message would be delivered as an MMS to the other individual (see here for information required for some carriers: http://forums.ilounge.com/showthread.php?t=200180 ). It would basically be a front-end app to take care of these annoying tasks.

There is an MMS app for jailbroken phones, nut it cannot be used with AT&T. The other so-called MMS apps within the AppStore do not send pictures directly to another phone. They only send a link that must be pressed by the individual who receives the link. That is pretty lame.

firewood, do you know if that would be permitted under the SDK APIs?

There is no true MMS app in the AppStore. That is, there is no app that will allow a sender to send a picture and the recipient to receive the picture via an MMS app on another phone on another carrier. The workaround to sent to the ten digit number and then to add the relevant information depending upon the carrier, is less than ideal.

This is a good idea, i'll look into this.

Unknown caller ringtone

ignore. can't be done using the supported API's.[/QUOTE

You don't need an app to set up an unknown caller ringtone on an iPhone... It might take a while depending on the amount of numbers in your contact list, but assign each one a specific ringtone. You can then change your default ringtone in "settings" to an "unknown caller" ringtone or create a "silent ringtone" that will function when someone other than those in your contact list call you. Hope this helps...

That sounds a whole lot like keynote. And I'm pretty sure keynote already supports video mirroring / video out.

Anything with a strong multiplayer would always be great, and by that I don't have to mean 2 people at one time. Leaderboards, statistics, contests are great things to have and make an app very interesting!
