I went from a black 6 to a white/silver 6S. I was really jealous of my brothers white 6 in the brown leather case for the whole time I had my black 6, I think this generation looks best in white, I absolutely love it.

My history:
3G - Black
4 - Black
5 - White (loved it but again jealous of the awesome black slate)
6 - Space Grey
6S - White/Silver

I do like black devices, but have decided that I definitely prefer white. I love my White/Gold iPad Air 2 and now the white 6S. I'll be sticking with white faced devices for the foreseeable future. There's just something that looks really clean and elegant about them.

I changed my mind over the time: black 3G, 3GS and 4. White 4S, 5 and 5S. Now I have a Space Gray 6 and 5S.

I alternate every year.

Same. The S cycle is my white front year, starting with the 4S, though I had a white back 3GS too. Had a gold 5S and now have a silver 6S. Depending on the design next year, I may stick with white again though since we now have 4 colors, with white for most of them. But if they release a gold and black phone, I'll be all over it.

I may have to jump on the white wagon then. The last few posts...sounds like you all have 6S and not the Plus. I'm even still debating which actual phone to get.

I always had silver. I was thinking about SG but ended up with a gold iPhone 6S+. I think the white face does look better with this iPhone's smoother lines.

I've always wanted the white phone when Steve announced the white iPhone 4 back then. It got delayed for such a long time and I ended up with a black one. The slate black iPhone 5 looked too sleek to ignore so I went with black again. I only briefly used the gold iPhone 5s for a while before realising that I like the Space Grey that my gf was using so I did a swap with her. (She don't care about the colour and it had some issues that required replacement anyway :p). The Rose Gold was a tempting option during pre-order but I still went with Space Grey in the end. TBH I was relieved that I didn't get RG the moment I saw it in person xD.

For some reason though, my preference is totally opposite for my iPad. I had the white face since iPad 2 and briefly tried the iPad mini with black face and couldn't be happy with it. Sold it off and never got/considered another black faced iPad since

I went from space grey to silver. I really like the way the white face looks with the touchID rings.

I use to only rock black face phones. My 3g,5 and iphone 6 and 6 plus were black. But back in July I decided to get a white/silver iphone. I'm now in love with white face phone. I do a lot of Web browser and reading so the white border is easy on eyes. I give got a white face iPad Air 2

Have always had white iPhones, was sick of it so went with SG this year. I think it would be a nice change. It looks classy.

My friend did warn me about SG phones as they blend into alot of things so may be harder to spot if they're laying around somewhere!

I had black from i4 until the 5. Switched to the gold with the 5S and 6+. Am back to SG this time around for 6S+.

IMO, the i5 black was the most awesome color they have used. I wish they would bring it back.

I went from Silver to Space Gray but not by choice. I needed a replacement of my original purchase and the express replacement was pending a week for some reason. I happen to find a store with stock of the Space Gray model on the 13th day of ownership so I was still eligible for return. I would have preferred to keep the Silver as I like that look better. If they ever go back to the Slate color than my mind might change.

Last BLACK phone I had was the 5, back when it was really BLACK and not "gray"...

my 5S & 6 were Silver, but I got the 6S in Gold...I prefer my phones with white bezel, but my iPad I still go with the black front because I do watch movies / video on it and I think it blends better.

I just got my sg 6s+ yesterday and I do say I regret not getting my previous phone in this color way. It's very sophisticated and the entire screen disappears as you turn it off

I had always had a black face iPhone. Last year, there was a mixup with my order and I ended up with a gold 6 Plus with white face. I used it with the black leather Apple case and after a day or two of adjustment, I really liked the white. The gold never did anything for me but I only saw it when I took the case off.
Went back to a black face this time and honestly, it seems a little drab. I may go back to a white next time. I did go with a brighter home screen, possible to compensate a little for the sea of black.

I will never buy a phone with the white face. Not a fan of how they look at all.

Always used the black front phones, iPads, iPods. Thought I'd try a gold 6S+ so will get the white face for once.

Still got the space gray mini 4 though.

I'm set in my ways and like the white/silver vibe. My iPhone 4 was black but since then I've owned three white/silver iPhones. To me that combo is the most pleasing but hey, all the colour choices are subjective.

I'm set in my ways with the black faced phones and iPads. The white ones just look too bright to me. But I also use just a plain black wallpaper and invert my colors (black with white text) in any app that allows it.

While I'm sometimes intrigued by the silver colored iPhone case, I can't stomach going to a white bezel. Besides, I always put a case on. So then the only difference will be the white bezel. But I want black around my display.

Had the all black bezels until the gold iPhone 5s come out and hated the white front. I am back to a black bezel with the 6s+ and before that 6+.

I would have been all over a gold with a black front but I really just want a black iPhone - front and back

My iPhone color history:

3GS - White (Black front)
4 - Black (No White available at launch) & White
4S - White
5 - White/Silver
5S - Gold
6+ - Gold
6S+ - Rose Gold

Once the white front phones were available, that is all I have purchased. Just really prefer it.
