Would love to see a black ceramic finish. If anyone ever seen the black ceramic interior accents of BMW’s (the ceramic upgrade option), that would be beautiful on the watch.
At this point, so many people around here (Cincinnati) have Apple Watches that no one is interested in the fact that I've got an Apple Watch, let alone what material it's made from.Have any of you guys ever been asked what material your AW is made from? I know I haven’t but plenty are interested in the fact you’ve got an AW in my experience.
Was there black ceramic? I thought it was gray?Yeah, I don’t own a ceramic model Apple Watch, but the black ceramic when they did offer it, was a really nice color. Not sure why they only brought back the white ceramic, maybe they will re-introduce the black ceramic. My guess is that the manufacturing probably has something to do with it, but I agree that black ceramic has a really unique appeal.

I have only ever bought aluminum. It's light and cheap, both things I value as a runner. If you gave me a SS Watch, I'd sell it and buy an aluminum.
Go bang them both against a wall a few times, then rub the screens on a lightly abrasive material and observe the results. Then tell me there’s not enough difference between the two lol.Not enough difference between the two. No purpose for the Ti.
Haven’t done that in the last 5 years with any of mine. Not real world for me lolGo bang them both against a wall a few times, then rub the screens on a lightly abrasive material and observe the results. Then tell me there’s not enough difference between the two lol.
wrong. you would be quicker to confuse the SS black with Ti black, than TI black and alumnium black. Not enough difference between the two. No purpose for the Ti.
It’s a watch. It’s worn on your wrist. Often hidden behind long sleeves or in motion because it’s on your wrist. The average person won’t be able to determine that it’s Ti because it’s 3 shades darker lolwrong. you would be quicker to confuse the SS black with Ti black, than TI black and alumnium black.
TI black is waaay darker than aluminum black.
If you can get though life without ever hitting or rubbing your wrists against various objects throughout the day, unconsciously, then I’m doing something wrong. I case and screen protect my Aluminum S4 and it looks worse than my wife’s uncased, unprotected S4 Hermès. LolHaven’t done that in the last 5 years with any of mine. Not real world for me lol
I have researched videos and images of the Titanium models and they all look like the aluminum models. Especially the Space Black Titanium model which is almost indistinguishable from the Space Gray aluminum model when I look at pics and videos of it.
Only when the image is zoomed in you can see the brushed texture of the titanium. I’m not going to spend $849 (44mm) when it looks like a $449 aluminum watch.
I decided to go with the Stainless Steel model as that looks more premium then the titanium model and more distinguishable.
Edit: I called Space Gray aluminum black.
Why is that laughable? Some of us prefer to spend money on higher quality products. What’s your concern? You’re not in my will. It's laughable people who spend all this extra money for a product that will be quickly out of date and eventually barely usable due to software/hardware limitations and battery deprecation.

Some people like to do this at the Apple store...see which one gets you more bang for your buck
You must be doing something wrong lol. After years of wearing nice watches I’ve got a subconscious method of not banging my watches against hard objects. My 3 year old Apple Watch is in good condition with only a few hairline scratches on the screen and one or two tiny marks on the case. It’s about to sit in a drawer for 20 years now though as I’ve ordered a new watch. No point spending big bucks on a smart watch to keep it pristine when it’s a throwaway gadget. If you can get though life without ever hitting or rubbing your wrists against various objects throughout the day, unconsciously, then I’m doing something wrong. Anyway, if you’re more worried about what people will think is on your wrist then what you actually have along with the benefits that come from that material (weight, strength), then the problem isn’t with the watch lol.
Could you post pics?Im on an S4 Aluminum right now and it’s crap. The screen is blemished on the edges from putting on and removing TPU cases.
