Are using 3G or wifi? If wifi what's your u/d speed?
Both. I use both 3G and WiFi are several sites.
Do not have my up and down speeds but this app is slow to the point I would not consider it.

Seriously, isn't this idea about the dumbest ever? Someone sat back and said "Let's do a remote app for the iPad that looks like MS Office, needs an excellent connection to function properly, and has all the features of all those 2 buck writing apps already available."
Why does a dog lick itself? Because it can, not because it should.
For all intents and purposes, if you want Office, CloudOn is the best option. Plus it has unbeatable Dropbox integration.
Got in this morning. Pretty simple to the point that it makes me wonder why M$ hasn't released a version of office for the ipad already?

Interesting, mine runs as if natively installed on my iPad 2.
My d/u is 25/25Mbps.
I got activated yesterday and wow, I'm really impressed with the service. Very fast IMO. I will probably go with the pay service when available. I would really like to install Quicken on it. If I could do that, it would really eliminate my need for a desktop computer completely. A question for anyone else using it - have you found any way to organize your uploaded files into folders?
Well I've used this and CloudOn and for me, CloudOn wins. Firstly, CloudOn has DropBox sync and this doesn't, which is pretty much the only reason I would want to run a specific instance of Word or Excel on my iPad (ok, granted not everyone uses DropBox but I do). Secondly, CloudOn uses the native keyboard as opposed to the virtual keyboard OnLive uses. The virtual keyboard is horrible, small and slow, and I quickly found I was typing was faster than it could cope with. But as a consolation, I do like the OnLive UI. It's nicer than CloudOn's.![]()
My Onlive account has been activated, and I have played with it for a day or two. It's pretty much useless for me. I might be missing something, but it seems like the only way to send files to a printer or email is via a Mac or PC. You can not log into the file service website with your iPad, so basically your stuck. Btw - if I got this wrong, please chime in....because it would make a difference in how I feel about the product.
The iWork apps that run natively on the iPad are far superior. If I need to get a file from my Home computer, there are VNC options that are better. Frankly, using Onlive has absolutely convinced me that Apple did the right thing when it went with iOS rather than OSx on the iPad. Office and other desktop software just does not work well with a touch interface....very frustrating to use.
