As someone who owns a maxed out imac, nTB is the PERFECT device for me. I would've bought the TB model IF it didn't have the touch bar, which just slows me down.

The 13" nTB is a great little machine... compared to the value offered in the rest of the lineup.

OS aside though, it's in a very crowded market segment (the 13" ultraportable), and it doesn't really outshine any of the other high end machines it's against.

It's not like when the Air released, and it felt like a generational shift. It's "just another" nice small ultraportable, with good points and bad points like any other machine.

Yes, they may has made it to good.

In my eyes, they should revamp the overall MacBook lineup. The non-toucbar MacBook Pro should just be called "MacBook," as the old days, and the little new MacBook should be called the Air.

I went for a 15" 2015 with 2.8, 1TB and iris pro because the new 15" MacBook Pro seemed too buggy but I guess I'll buy the nTB as a secondary machine if I need to go very portable!
Looks this is the only one that came out well!

I would have bought the TB if it had good battery. I'm rocking my nTB with 11.5-12h on light usage and 8-10 on moderate.

So... the n in nTB stands for non Touch Bar.

But the n in nMP stands for new Mac Pro?

We gotta come up with some better terminology here. Multiple things have the same letters.

I thought this article was about new ThunderBolt

:)

I'll go with no, just because of the pricing. If it was $200 cheaper, then yes. The no-touchbar pro is essentially the successor to the 13" Air which was an awesome laptop. Unfortunately a Retina display seems to add $500 to the price point in Apple's eyes.

Can you elaborate more on this? The new 13" nTB has a slightly better performance than the 2015 MBP, which makes it significantly better than the Air in terms of performance (not just the retina display). I don't think you can even compare this to the Air.

If it was they'd have to significantly drop rMB price and they aren't ready to

But agreed the price is whack And when you get a touchbar model even more whack
