Usually the word sex (or any word) seems to be either a coincidence, or put in as a joke (by the creators)

Subliminal advertising (at least all the ones in those youtube videos) are mostly images, hinting at sexual, or adult themes.

Man, you think about sex a lot huh?
Smoke
I mean really, it must be all you think about.
Smoke.
And now ima thinkin' about it too.
Are ya' smokin' yet?

The Little Mermaid thing was a HUGE deal. Blue, you were in CA when that dropped right? There was mayhem throughout the stores to remove the boxes from shelves. I ran to get one *snicker* and found it at Ralphs. They're a bit slower on the upswing there. I ended up selling it on eBay as a RARE item and netted about $30 for a VHS tape.

Me thinks Disney did it intentionally as a PR stunt for this very reason.

I remember it well. I had an original and these two useless thieving twunts I knew [David & Shoshana, hi, losers!] I knew stole it (and many other things of mine). </off topicly>

There's actually a story behind that. One of the artists for Ariel had drawn her more "voluptuously" then Disney wanted and was forced to reduce the cleavage. In retaliation he included a phallic symbol in the poster.

so in a sense, it was not a subliminal message in this case but rather one put in for revenge.

Thats kind of sick. Its a children's movie for goodness sake.
YOU BETTER BE SMOKING BY NOW!

I would not have noticed any of those (except for the skittles perhaps) without you highlighting them. But now that I see them it is kinda odd.

Blue, that's not just any penis; that there's a penis with magic sparkles all over it. Biiiiig difference.

and WHY are the phallic symbols in subliminal adverts always so stinkin' jewish?!

I saw that wallpaper aeons ago and thought it said "Vista Sex". it always had me confused. :D

SMWatson: Of course they'll deny it. You think 'family-friendly' Disney would fess up to something like that?
