He seemed to be spending his money quick, although I don't know how much research he put into this. I can't say either because I have been on my macbook for a few months and prices in the pc market change so often.
Anyways he assembled a cheap gaming computer. I scoffed at him for getting the DDR2 ram : )

He said the notebook adapter was thrown in as part of a package deal and
he will probably sell it. The rest of the components like the dvd drive I assume he will take from his current rig.

    Looks good to me.

NewEgg generally has the best prices on the web for computer parts. And even if they're a bit more expensive, I'll still shop at NewEgg because their customer service cannot be beat. They're speedy with their shipping and if there are any problems they'll be extremely helpful. It's always worth a few extra bucks to me.

Right on guys thanks. I was worried. I like the video card / motherboard he has coming. Kid saved a few of his checks from this burger joint he works at, he's 16 - wanted to get opinions on his spending. Beside's he usually comes to me with computer questions and stuff. Cool then.
