Also no delivery by UPS today. It’s getting ridiculous. It’s been sitting in their depot since thursday now.

Have you called the 800 number yet? Once a package goes past it’s estimated delivery date they usually take calls pretty seriously, especially if the tracking info makes it appear that it’s just sitting in one spot. They should be able to get you in touch with someone at the depot to try to figure out what’s going on.

My husband works for UPS so I was able to get my phone fairly early as he works out of the hub by our house.

Anyway, the drivers you see using their personal cars are Supervisors and they are not allowed or should be delivering packages at all. The reason they are doing it is because UPS doesn't want to spend money to hire additional package car drivers. /end rant

I am having the same problem today (Mon Nov 16) with my MacBook Air. Apple says it is arriving Wednesday, the 18th. UPS sent me an email this morning 8 am saying it was going to arrive today (1:15-4:45)... and then I got an email from UPS saying, oops, delayed until tomorrow Nov 17 (1:45-5:45). Apple still says Wednesday! Facepalm.

So, my 12 Pro Max was delivered on friday by UPS, but the guy almost didn't deliver - and he didn't even properly "attempt delivery"!

If you see the video, the guy walks up to the house with the package in hand and the "Sorry we missed you" slip already on top of the box. He comes up to the door, completes the slip, puts it on my door and walks away. He doesn't ring the door bell at all. I was watching him from my study throughout and was lucky I was there to quickly intercept him and take delivery of the package.

Is this shady or what?

I’ve had my iPhone 12s delivered to me, held at a local store and I picked one up at apple store

First year since the 3G that I didn't get the PHONE on opening day. For some reason (not hanging around the company water cooler flashing my new phone), I don't think I've missed ANYTHING. I'll probably bop down to the Apple Store and pickup a new Mini in a week or so. Meanwhile my SE is working fine and maybe I'll skip this current generation entirely. Wonder if Apple is brave enough to come out with a 13 next year. Or will it be called the 12S, followed the following year by the 14.

That is nuts. I would definitely call UPS and ask to speak with someone at the local depot and provide them the video.

I don’t think the guy deserves to be fired for that, but definitely some retraining and corrective action needs to happen there.

I’ve had UPS do this to me once. Saw the truck stop outside my window and then I saw it drive away a couple minutes later. No knock or anything. Opened the door to find the stupid “we missed you” slip. Like WTF? Not even going to attempt to deliver my package? Super infuriating.

I’ve called UPS several times, but the support is completely useless. They didn’t take anything serious even when I’ve asked to declare it as lost because „it’s set for delivery today (again)“.

I’ve declared the package as lost now since I’ve kept getting told „it’s coming“. I’ve also talked to Vodafone, through which I’ve ordered the phone. They’ve also declared it as lost now and are contacting UPS. I’ll get a phone call by next tuesday by Vodafone at last for the next steps. It’s either found by UPS & delivered or they’ll send a new one out with another delivery company. Counting on a new iPhone by January judging based on current delivery dates....

So much for getting it on first day. I’m pretty sure someone „took“ the package with them at their depot.

I also have the same issue. It showed "Destination Scan" since Friday, but when I called the UPS location they indicated that the tracking just uses "hypothetical locations" and that they actually hadn't received it. I ended up contacting my carrier today to just have them send a replacement since it was likely stolen along the way.

This is crazy! @Graphixx30, any chance you can ask your husband who works at UPS whether there's any reason things like this happen? Like, to us the customer, it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't even try (it seems like it's just as much work to ring doorbell and try, vs just writing out the slip?)

Only thing I can think of why a UPS driver might PREFER to do the slip vs try delivery... Maybe if they're running late, or had to do something else mid-shift, and a delivery at a certain time would show the system / their manager that they were late or they somehow weren't where they were supposed to be? So in that case, they would rather write the slip (and maybe for an earlier time when they were "supposed to be" there?) than actually do the delivery?

I've heard enough stories like this to think there must be some alternate incentive that makes drivers want to do this. We'd never get an official answer, but maybe from someone who works there, they might be able to imagine?

My package couldn’t been found. I’ll receive a new shipping. Estimated shipping is 22nd of December instead of the 13. november. Absolutely great ☹️
