Can you change it in windows as well, as switching machines would be an adventure?

No, after a few hours to a day of use, I get used to it. Now it is quite natural as it is the same on the iOS devices. What Apple tries to convince you to do is to flip a page when you scroll.

As an iPad/iPhone user, I actually laughed about the "natural" scrolling idea on my Mac when I first heard it. It just seemed stupid, unintuitive, and unnecessary. After installing Lion, it felt out of place and I consistently found myself scrolling in the wrong direction. But now...I've got to say...I've not only gotten used to it, but I love it. In reality, it does seem more natural and (oddly enough) brings the Mac closer to an interactive experience like on the iPad.

Nope, fighting the future ultimately is more of a pain than not. I adjusted immediately though and I won't say I PREFER it, but it certainly don't dislike it.

It's completely optional XD

Why not just change it, then when the next osx (or hell freezes over and well get a OS11/OSXi) just.... switch it back.... again.

I have had an iPhone for 4 years now and got my first Mac recently (with Lion) so natural scrolling feels completely, well, natural to me :)

I turned natural scrolling off. I wish I could keep my horizontal scrolling using the "natural" mode and my vertical scrolling in the transitional mode.

I try to get used to new settings like this because if the crew at Apple felt it was necessary to put it in and set it to this setting, there is a pretty good chance that in the future you wont even have the option of scrolling the other way.

After downloading and using Lion's new scrolling, I really digged it! But after messing around with my mac, then going to work and (against my will) using a PC, it became a challenge to switch back and forth between both machines. So for now, it is switched to the old way!

I turned natural scrolling off. Maybe I'll try it again someday. But for now, since I do tech support where I work, I need to scroll the classic way. Otherwise, I'd have to mentally switch my scrolling method every time I work on a non-Lion Mac or PC. It would get annoying.

I got used to it after a day of use but it is opposite to the way it works with a regular mouse with a roller wheel. With the wheel I scroll down to view the text as it scrolls up.

I didn't realize you could change it at first, and I didn't like it.

Then, when I realized you could change it I did. Of course, now I'm confused because I got half way used to natural scrolling.
