I turned mine off because if would not work with my sunglass with it on.

I also found that to be annoying with having to remove the sunglasses. Having it disabled would still be more than enough security for me and it's more convenient.

Oh no doubt. I don’t have to worry about it not being secure. I don’t have anyone trying to get my phone unlocked with my eyes closed.

Thanks all, I think I will shut it off at some point. I want to try having it "learn: from failed attempts which I just discovered that was the process today. I had been re-locking and doing Face ID again instead of entering my passcode and having it learn. I also guess I am with the cool factor crowd and don't want to disable the eye look yet. It work with my sunglasses. The car cradle thing is the only thing I wish would be easier.

I turned "Attention" off and changed my Notification preferences to "Always Allow." I don't need the extra security/privacy and appreciate being able to quickly glance at my notifications.

I’m suprised by the results! wasn’t expecting so many users with attention required disabled.

I’m surprised more people haven’t switched it off, guess some are scared of relatives looking through their phone while they are asleep. :)

I disabled it day 1.
I gave it a try after I read this thread but turned it off again. I find having to look at the phone a chore and an unnecessary extra step. Maybe when they cut the time needed to unlock by half I’ll try again.

I just give my passcode to relatives that want to use my phone.

I left it on. Generally I'm looking at my phone when I'm unlocking it anyways, so leaving it on isn't a hassle for me. Also works well as a "cool factor" when co-workers ask about how the Face ID works and I show them that even if they shove the phone in my face, it won't unlock if I don't look at it. Silly, I know, but it amuses me.

I am real confused by everyone complaining about this not working with sunglasses.
I wear prescription Polarized sunglasses, with mirror coated lenses and have had zero trouble unlocking my phone while wearing them. I have Require Attention enabled currently.

What's there to be confused about? It appears to work with some sunglasses and not with others, for whatever reason.

I’ve kept it on since day one, I love the way notifications are private until you look at the device, also the alarms quieting when you wake up.

Yes. I like to read stuff while I’m underneath a blanket and sometimes it just thinks I’m not looking at it and shuts the screen off.

Does it really add that much to security? Even with it disabled, no one is going to unlock your phone with your picture. Face ID tech is already very secure. I always have it disabled, and it saves battery life as your screen will auto-lock as the sensor is not constantly scanning your face.

I imagine a scenario where someone tries to force my face to the phone. My eyes, would be the last line of defense.

Extreme!? Maybe...

But, gives me a satisfying feeling.
