The Keyboard is "Made" to have leaks around the key. Look more gorgeous and is more useful then having the letter lit alone.

I also did'nt returned my macbook. It does have slanted keys. At first it did'nt bothered me much. But at each time I look at it, it look worse and worse to me. I just can't return it anyway, since the nearest apple store is 2h of driving away and I don't have a car.

just do the fix that someone on here mentioned. stick something in on the left side of the key, pull it up and leave it that way for 30 seconds, then let go. i just did it and it totally worked.

Pleased to announce over here in Canada, Ontario to be specific... out of all the retail stores i've checked, as well as the Mac store... i've yet to see slanted keys, loose battery doors, dead pixels.. anything. My new macbook is flawless. :)

Same Here in all retail stores ive checked i didnt see slanted keys loose batery dead pixilels. Maybe it was a bad shipment to the USA?

PS. i went to Apple Store vancouver
3 futureshops
2 bestbuys
Soon to be Alubook owner

was able to return 2 slanted key versions on the same day..by the 2nd one they gave me a free incase sleeve and seemed really easy going about getting new macbooks from the back for me.
3rd one came out perfect

That's a nice gesture.

I can't say I've noticed any significant slanting -- if there is, I guess it's not important enough for me to return.

Just got mine back from having the keyboard replaced. Glad I did it. Nothing quite like that new keyboard feel :p

I don't think I could in good conscience return an otherwise good computer for purely slanted keys.

Meh, when you pay for Apple's Build quality, imo, it should be pretty darn near the definition of perfection out of the box.

I kept my slanted keys. It's annoying but I don't actually press my function keys that often or even look down at my keyboard so it doesn't bug me enough to replace.

I took my MacBook Pro into the Apple store's Genius Bar to get my Left shift key(the only one I use) replaced because it was loose. After I got it replaced free of charge, I took my MBP home and noticed that it's slanted with the left side of the key higher than the right. It really bothers me.

Well only a 4.5 year old thread but seems like if you don't like it you should take it back and have them fix it?

I guess so. They may look at me like I'm crazy, but I'm still going to have them take the key out and put it back in until the slant is gone.

Jesus, just logged into old email account and saw people posting on this thread. Pretty sure not even covered by applecare now...
