The legit answer is the Apple crew are doing the job they are paid to do, IF they find that there was accidental damage the OP is responsible for it. FACT.

The legit answer is that with his attitude, he is going to find poor customer service everywhere he goes.

Give me a break! Stop lecturing this dude. I am shocked that given the rampant display of sarcasm that is continuously displayed in these forums, there is then the inability to recognize it. If you read his post he immediately clarified that he in fact was NOT wishing death upon anyone.

There are some serious fanboys around here. While it is certainly the job of these technicians to help repair your computer, they will likely try to find the most expensive route.

fine, they are doing what they're paid to do. find the damage. but don't charge the dude without his consent first. make sure he wants to proceed with the repair through Apple.

but that's not to say that they didn't completely screwed up when they opened it. that may very well be the case. we'll just never know.

Agreed, 100%.

I can assure you that I really don't want these people to die. Trust me, I know that offended some or put some off or whatever, so I do apologize. And I treated the guys up there with a lot of respect like I always do, I just came here to vent. Once again, I'm sorry. Also, it doesn't help the situation calling me a spoiled brat and various other names. I don't know why everyone just assumes parents pay for other peoples computers on this website. The only reason why my "daddy" covered the damage was, well, because he broke it. Sorry if people can't see the logic in that one.

Anyways, here's an update to all that were actually interested in the whole point of this thread.

They ended up breaking my logic board ($860). Which upsets me, but I understand how it can happen. They are human, stuff happens. BUT, good news, they didn't hassle me on me paying for it. They were dead set on me paying for it at first, but I sent him an email explaining how it wouldn't make since for me paying for something he broke, and the store ended up covering it.

I have the computer in my lap as we speak and a big smile on my face. I also asked for my top back from the part that was damaged (which is the whole top half of the computer including screen), so to repay my dad back, which I don't have to, I'm just being nice, I'm going to find a Macbook with a broken screen or something online for a couple hundred and just put my other one on and then give it to him. He said the dent in the case isn't a big deal to him, so why not, you know?

So, yeah, it's over. Woo.
I hope people can move past the title of this thread. Thanks to the people that understood that I was only being sarcastic. I know it's a harsh thing to say, but people say things, sarcastic or not when they are frustrated. Believe it or not, I am human.

Goodnight all!

*lol*

perhaps this found image on the web is appropriate to this thread. clearly the OP isn't the only one who thinks apple employees aren't so special.
