Staples has the older AppleCare for $79, compared to $99 for the AppleCare+. What are the differences?

I can use a coupon with Staples, bringing it down to $69 but wondering if it's worth the savings?

AppleCare extends the regular warranty and phone support coverage out to the two year mark.

AppleCare Plus does the same, then adds two incidents of accidental damage(liquid damage, broken glass...etc.) where the replacement cost of the device is $49 instead of the regular $199 or $149 out of warranty replacement cost.

Yeah, pretty much the difference is that AppleCare covers a device's functionality on it's own. It warranties the life-time of the product, where if it begins to fail and break by itself, you're covered.

AppleCare+ adds the coverage from damage done by you. (Dropping the device, stepping on it, spilling water on it, etc)
