Nice, are they pretty lenient?

Also what was said and how did you demonstrate the issue to them (assuming in the store with all the bright lights you can't see the bleed)?

Yeah they actually are. They just asked why i was returning it and i said it has a backlight issue along the side. The woman then just checked everything was in the box and looked at the serial numbers to make sure it all matched up and then i was on my merry way to the next ipad with worse light bleeding issues!

lol damn good to know I'm going to be on the hunt for one within a day or two Apple/Target whoevers got it I'm going with

Hope Apple doesn't give much hassle as I'll be returning for refund

Whatever; I don't mind giving my iPad to BB and not have to try and hawk it on eBay or CL. I've got money burnin' a hole in my pocket! "I'M RICH BIT$#&*S!!!!" :p:cool::eek:

Why not sell it in the MR MarketPlace in the future for the exact same price BestBuy will give you for yours? That way, you can help out or give a fellow MR member a good deal. :D

I'm intrigued.. As much as I hate BB.. What customer experience ?

You walk in, ask for an iPad.. If they have the desired config. in stock, go thru check out and you're done!

What pleasurable *customer experience* does one miss out having bought from BB vs Apple ?

I think he means all the light colored wood and plexiglas. Wow, what an experience.

Has anybody got a refund from Target due to backlight bleed?

Hm

Well, if it's within 90 days, one could get a refund for any reason.

You don't have to demonstrate anything, you just have to return everything in the box with a receipt. No questions asked.

Target with redcard

Target is the best option if you have a red card and 5% pharm reward. Hard to beat about 9% off the purchase price.

really? If you post an iPad on craigslist you could sell it within an hour, and the guy would drive to meet you.

I sold my 1st gen iPad 10 months after purchase for 25 dollars less than I paid for it brand new.

Nobody is rich enough to turn that down, sorry.

If bought from a third-party store, Apple will be less willing to swap your unit out if it has problems. But they'll still take care of warranty work.

Very incorrect. Please don't post bad information. Apple will service any of their products regardless of where it was purchased. I know people who have iPhone through ATT and only go to Apple stores for service. There are no problems at all, this includes swapping for a new one.

Very true. Apple products sell very well on Craigslist. I've sold my old iPhone 3GS and two iPods, both for very good prices. Apple products, if kept in good condition, sell great after initial purchase. And, right now you can sell an iPad 2 for more than retail.

I agree. I was given an old 2nd hand iPod Video that went through a few owners on the other side of the US. The battery wouldn't hold a charge, and the apple store treated it just the same as the products I bought from that store. They didn't care where or how I got it, only that it was an Apple product.

Target is no questions asked as long as you don't bring it back with a foot print on the front. Doesn't matter if it was bleeding or not :)

If all retailers have stock, buying from Apple directly is the better option. Primarily because of the overall customer experience. But if stock is constrained, you have to get the item from whatever source you can!

I just stopped reading And just stared at this guys post. The apple store has " the worst" experience I have ever encountered. I dread going to the apple store. We have three here in central Florida. All three are exactly the same. You go in and it is literally wall to wall people. I mean " wall to wall". You can't get to the tables to play with the merchandise, and to enter a store, you literally have to squeeze by people. People are bumping you and touching you the entire time. Not to mention the stores reek of body odor.

I'm sorry, but I don't want to have to press my body up against a complete stranger just to slide between him and three other people in order to get to the next set of tables. Our local apple stores are a molesters dream.

So when I read this guy saying " the great customer experience" I had to stop and respond.
