Different SIM detected - connect to Itunes

Have ported the number from my 3G to 3GS today which meant using the other SIM card. Now when I switch it on the 3GS it says 'Different SIM detected - connect to Itunes'. If I connect to Itunes it starts working but the message comes back as soon as I reboot.

Any ideas?

Sim reading problems. Call AT&T and see if they can give you a new one or if they can allow you to test for it.

That or call Apple.
