I was gonna say...

I think we have our gate : Secondsgate ! :)

Seriously I spent an hour playing with watch faces this afternoon: it's impossible to get the seconds on digital faces or complications...

By the way the possibilities of watch faces are not that many : I predict a lot of whining and complaining when people realize this...

You have to go to customize to see seconds via complications interface.

Would you like to explain how to do this? I have been through all of the complications, and can't see it. The time itself is not on the list of complications; and on the modular face you can't do any customisation of the time in the top right.

He's full of garbage. It isn't possible.

In regards to healthcare, For most UK NHS hospitals staff dealing with patients should be bare below the elbows for infection prevention - eg if you're wearing a watch and go to wash your hands you will not be able to clean underneath it properly, same for rings too, although a plain band is usually allowed. My watch will remain in my locker during working hours and be strapped on any other time - I may run a poet lead to my locker so o can charge the watch during the day! Unless someone designs a fob attachment - that'd be ace!!

Well, if true, then you are the only one who knows how to do it. I tried and couldn't find a way. Please tell us exactly how to show seconds on a clock face, not the stopwatch or timer.

Just got back from apple store w14 street and it turns out you can't do seconds with the time even with complications. That's a potentially HUGE oversight. However I would caution people that you can't do seconds on most mechanical watches.

I wonder if there is a battery issue with relation to keeping track of seconds with the Apple Watch.

Gotta be less battery than mickey tapping his foot.

So false advertising from Apple?

Good point...no one probably thought of it before. Hell it took us a whole week to notice.

I noticed it a week ago (when I tried the Apple Watch on) but didn't post about it as 1) I'm sure they can easily fix it with a software update and 2) the analog faces have a second hand which is what I'll use in the meantime.

It's not going to be a complete deal breaker for me I suppose. Looking at the watch page on Apple's site I see that there are a couple of different analog faces that have at least 3 or 4 complications that can be displayed while also showing a seconds hand.

I'll be cool with using an analog face at least for a bit (really hoping that we'll see an update to fix this though), but it would be nice to be able to switch to an all-digital face if I want to. It's part of my draw to the Apple watch....I can change how it looks whenever my mood sees fit. I've been using digital watches for a very long time and honestly I'm kind of warming up to the idea of using an analog face just because I haven't used a watch with one for a very long time.

Change can be good in some cases. :)

Why is the second so important to you? Simple curiosity here

I want it because I work on railways. I Despatch trains. I blow my whistle 30 seconds before departure then blow again at correct time. Extremely important feature. Apple Watch designed to be worn all the time. Including work. Digital seconds are a must for me and with all what's supposedly on offer surely this is a small feature.

Nope, but if enough people submit a feature request to Apple asking for it, it might get included in a later update.

The trains run on time in Huddersfield?

Reviving an old post to point out that this problem is still not fixed. Only one face shows hh:mm:ss -- the new Actvity face. But I want it on the modular face. Only thing that bugs me about my otherwise very useful Apple Watch.

Same here. It's annoying as hell having to switch to an analog face during my commute ...
