I'm at the point of, who cares about CBS? Their All Access service is terrible; I can't remember when I watched anything on CBS as it is, other than March Madness.

Your comment about CBS is confusing. First you said the CBS All Access Service is terrible but you can't remember when you last watched anything on CBS. Anyway, I like a number of shows on CBS All Access and I really like the No Commercial Option. I also like the Hulu No Commercial option. We need more No Commercial to choose from. If this new Directv Now has no way to watch shows without Commercials (DVR or no commercial tier) then it is of no use to me.
I tried the service just to test it out when I first got my Apple TV 4. Not worth the price IMO.
I think that makes more since. It may not be worth the money to you and many others but that does not make the service bad. I personally like the service and I watch a lot of CBS so the cost is ok with me. But like the New CW App they could offer a Ad support tier for others. At the same time I think the CW App should offer a no commercial paid tier for those that want it. I was pretty disappointed the CW left Hulu. At this point I plan to watch most of the CW Shows when they hit Netflix at the end of the season. I simply refuse to watch commercials.
Star Trek fans. It's literally the only service that will be carrying the new Star Trek in the USA/Canada.
CBS won't even broadcast it over the air on CBS channels! I wonder how CBS stations feel about that.
Probably not too bad, since a subscription to CBS All Access comes with a live stream of the local CBS affiliate.
Tv app is garbage... it still only searches what is currently available for sale on the iTunes Store and not your actual purchase... this is annoying as hell because every time a movie is changed or removed from iTunes you can no longer use Siri to search for it and have to go to your purchases and scroll down to find it.... I have reported this to Apple over and over since the ATV4 came out... I thought for sure this TV app would fix the problem... apparently they don't care.... The more time that passes the more purchesd items that you will no longer be able to search for with Siri... i've had about three items do this just within the past couple of months... that's on top of the 15+ items that I cannot search for using Siri
Yeah I've went though a lot of betas with no change... they probably don't even see it as a problem. They would probably be happier if you repurchase the movie to gain back your Siri search privileges.

Will try the trial first for sure and see how it goes. Another Apple TV would be cherry on top.
