Were you thinking that it would need those screws to function? It should't ever have to be opened, except for by Apple techs. Most people who have iPhones, aren't going to think that the product is any less "magical" just because Apple didn't let them take it apart and play with it.

I was thinking that, seeing as my warranty is up and if anything happened to my phone, i would need to purchase a new one. I came across fairly nice new faceplates for my phone that i decided to purchase, but now i am unable to use them because the screws are stripped. I would think that screws inside my phone would be perfect seeing as they have never been touched instead of stripped...

Besides just changing the outside cosmetics... seeing as a few screws are stripped, if the battery was ever damaged i would not be able to change that either, and personally, i'd rather spend a few dollars on a new battery than 200 on a new phone.

The whole point is that, screws shouldn't be stripped on this phone..

OP:
I'm sorry I don't understand what you are saying. The threads are stripped? Or the heads of the screws are stripped?

Can you post a picture or two? How bad?

I don't see the big deal about opening up his phone. It's his to do with what he pleases. If he wants to carry it without a case or take it apart, big freaking deal.

The heads of a few screws are stripped that i need to get out, i've decided that i only have two options left.. those being either use that product "screw grab" and see if that works, otherwise i'm going to need to perform "surgery" and drill a small whole into the screw to try and pop the head off, although this is last resort seeing as i don't wish to damage anything
