Sold my 64GB iPhone 6 last night for $450. You sellers have a false sense of entitlement. Be fair, you used that sh*t!

I just posted my mint 6 Plus 128 on CL last night. This morning the first text agreed to the price of $650. I figured he would show up and offer a lower price. Nope. Sold for $650. There is some hope.

Phones loose value very quickly. That's why I usually just pass them to a family member or friend if they need a phone/want an upgrade. When they're done using it, they give it back it me and I just put it back in its box. Makes more sense for me to do this then sell them. Regardless, iPhones still have the best resell values in the industry especially if you keep your phone in mint condition.

To the original OP: $650 on $850 is an insane resale value. You will not find that with any other smartphone, not even the Galaxies.

EDIT: Nobody use Swappa, eBay, Gazelle or anyone else who charges you a fee, to then resell for 300% of what they paid you. USE CRAIGSLIST. I have sold every iPhone model I've owned through Craigslist, and I get my cash the same day, no shipping hassles, and it's always more, or at the same level as eBay, never less. I wouldn't sell it for less. I sold an iPhone 4 just a few months ago for $200. An iPhone 4.

Supply and demand. A week before the new model the values of the older one go down as you have less interested people. Anyone with an older 5/5S or older will buy the new model instead of 6/6+ now. A month or 2 ago the demand wouldve been higher and values higher.

Using it for a year and getting $500-600 back from $850 isn't bad at all either.

Purchased the Galaxy S6 on launch for $679. The sale price today is around $499. I basically owe more on the balance of my handset than the phone is actually worth.

what do you guys think is a reasonable price for my AT&T SG 6+? Mint and has a year of AC+ left. I was thinking of listing it at $675 and taking the first offer I get for around $600.

Just go with next or apple upgrade program. The way I see it. I pay $500 something a year for a new iPhone every year. Works for me. Your just leasing it and I'm happy with that. I'm a tech whore though.

Why not? I'm likely trading mine in that way. $540 for my 6+ 64GB space grey, and locked in that price for the next 6 weeks! Not going to complain.

Because you will not get the trade-in value that they have promised. I just sent a close to brand new 6 gold and it was rejected. After reading the Amazon forums on this, the trade-in company have a knack for rejecting a phone from whatever condition you pick.

One guy sent in as New, and they rejected it saying it’s just Good. He then shipped it back marked as good, and they rejected it saying it’s only acceptable.

Never ever select the option where they get to keep it at the lower price; instead pick return to sender. The other thing to keep in mind is that this service is provided by a 3rd party, which is not owned or supported by Amazon.

I understand. I've never once had an issue sending my phones into them, and I've sent loads of them in. Not saying bad experiences don't happen, but you have to remember this company probably receives thousands upon thousands of devices - so it's not surprising that SOME people will have a bad experience. It's just the way it goes. I'll continue to trade my phones into them.
