Disappointed with Mous case 2.0 for iPhone xs

I received the Mous 2.0 case for my iPhone XS today.

I was so stoked when it arrived and yet so disappointed after putting it on.

The camera is mal-aligned with the cutout.

I hope they made a mistake with mine.


Anyone else tried this case?

I think a lot of companies rushed their cases to market combined with Apple screwing up specs a little bit creating a lot of cases that do not fit correctly on the first batches.

Mous website is very misinforming.

Next to the iPhone Xs icon, there is a “new” sign, needless to say when I received the package it says iPhone X on the box.

I just got one in, phone just shipped out so I haven’t seen it on the phone yet. Can you post a photo of the lens in the camera cutout? Mous said they’d take it back if I wasn’t happy with it. I’m curious to see how off center it actually is.

Thank you, I really appreciate the photos.

The case rubbing on the lens is no bueno. Going to return mine I think. Hopefully they’ll redesign it to fit properly.

The other complaint is that the cut-out should 100% hug the camera. There should be no space for dust to get in.

What’s a good alternative to this one? I ordered the carbon fiber one. Disappointed cuz I really like how this case looks too.

I am rocking the caseology skyfall right now. It’s slim, but doesn’t provide a lot of protection.

Also the fit is a lot better than the mous

I just got an evolutive labs solid suit and it beats the Mous IMO. I may be sending back the Mous I bought in favor of the solid suit. The mous just looks big and the bottom lip really annoys me after using a couple other cases with smaller lips. Plus the Mous is just overpriced IMO.

OP that case looks terrible, that's not even close to fitting. Good luck with a refund, I bought a mous case back when the 7 came out and it took months to get my refund. If I send this current case back I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they've gotten better but I'm not holding my breath.

I’m hoping for a smooth return process.

I sent them an email literally the same day I received the case. I haven’t gotten a response yet and that was 2 days ago.

That's why I have been sticking with Amazon. I returned a few items in the last few months and they refund you as soon as the post office scans the return becuase they know you will be buying something else from them.

I have run into similar problem want to return my case for refund emailed them 3 days ago still nothing. Crappy CS if you ask me!

Update: Mous sent me a refund form to fill out. According to the email, they will evaluate to see if my case is refundable.

What the heck does that even mean? It's an X case marked as an XS case... what's there to evaluate?

Wow this is what I was afraid of. I bought an original mous and it took almost 2 months of hounding them before I got a refund AFTER I had already returned the case. I really wish I’d never bought from them again hearing this.

Well, I sent them am email asking for a return and they sent me a link for a return form and said " if it's possible" I might get a refund. Doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

Let us know how long it takes for them to respond. I filled out my reopen form just now.

Funny I emailed them to try to cancel my order and was already shipped she just told me to refuse shipment we will see how that goes to get a refund!

I will definitely update if I hear something.

I don’t understand why is it so difficult to refund a case that doesn’t properly fit.
