Well they price matched after the fact. Just got the receipt it appears they gave me a $225 reduction so the total amount was $275 off. Then I used some small rewards cert.

so you purchased it with the edu discount, then they gave you an additional 225 reduction? So assuming it was 1450 initially, why would they not just price match the 1299 price with a 150 deduction?

Don't know. I got lucky I guess. The price for the item on the receipt says $1199.99. I used a $25 rewards certificate too. So the price was 1424.99 and they reduced it to 1199.99.
