Yeah the leather bands are the only real steals from this aside from a few colors like Delft and Dragonfruit that are really hard to find at anything close to retail nowadays. I have a Forrest Green and a Midnight Blue on the way next week. Never owned a LL before (not a huge fan of the look) so I’m not sure I’ll keep either. But I’m happy to try one out for $50 haha!
I only own one, the saddle brown LL which I love. Not really trying to collect these but for $50 like you said the forest green was the only color that intrigued me so let’s try it out! Out of curiosity why don’t you like the look?
I have always preferred the look of a classic leather band. The loop doesn’t look bad- I just prefer the stitching and buckle you find on a traditional leather band. I do feel that, from pictures at least, the leather loops look rather plastic-y from the sides and the layer of leather looks really thin. But, I have never had one so maybe I will be surprised! It’s not a bad look, just not one that interested me at $150 (or now $100).
I totally get what you mean! You’re actually right about your description, the leather layer does look thin. But then again I didn’t get my saddle brown for retail also. I wouldn’t pay $100 for that band either. I honestly was just going to call it with the saddle brown as I do love that color and it dresses up my watch nicely. If I end up liking the forest green then I’ll just have those two and call it on those. Would love to hear your feedback when you receive yours too! Here’s the saddle brown with stainless steel

I haven’t but based on photos the leather on the link looks softer and superior. I will eventually cave on the black leather link as I really want a black leather band. I sold my OG black leather loop a while back
It’s much softer and greasier and more pliant and organic. It’s really night and day. If you can get past the cosmonaut pills aesthetic, it just craps all over the concept and build of the Leather Loop. No sliding, creaking, smacking.
Oh for sure, but I have to put my money in other places right now. I don’t have any bands on the way. it sucks!
