Thank you for the tip Morrissey. Glad to see direct/retailer posts here with links and not to resellers or third party stores.

I checked out the bands and really like the pride 2022 one though I just don’t find myself owning those non adjustable style loops. I’ve seen all of them wear out and stretch over time.

When I got sized for mine, size 2 was the most reasonable but since I knew they would stretch, I went a size down to 1, suffered through it, and now it is fairly comfortable. (The breaking in period is the worst though.)

When it does inevitably get ever so loose, I toss it in the wash and tumble dry. It shrinks back down but not to its "fresh out of the box" size.

I’m just curious I’ve seen you bring this up before.

What makes a post from Amazon/Woot anymore “legit” than a post from a reseller or third party store?

This thread is called “Discounts/Sales on OEM bands” which makes any post that is cheaper than retail price on any OEM band a legit post otherwise this thread should be called “Discounts/Sales on OEM bands from first party sellers only” correct me if I’m wrong.

@athousandbands (who is pretty much the only person that keeps this thread alive) has posted multiple links to many great deals and has given so many people here the opportunity to find great deals on OEM bands. Your indirect bash is unnecessary especially when you’re probably the only one who feels this way here.

If anyone disagrees and makes me realize what I’m saying is inaccurate then I’ll gladly stand corrected. Just speaking my mind that’s all.

I don’t mind you asking at all. I’ve been on and participate in various forums. On other deal sites, such as video game collectors, third party / reseller links are not allowed.

I personally do not trust them, as you have no way to verify if the linked seller is legit, or just the poster themself using the forum for their personal / own gain. I’m not accusing anyone here of that directly as well.

Now linking to best buy or amazon is referring to a legitimate business, verified and with a return policy. Otherwise if I start posting deals, I could be linking my own ‘side hustle’ or friends reseller sites for a kickback.

I’d like to improve my posting quality. Can you point to any links I’ve sent that aren’t legit?

Perhaps I should rephrase my original post, to state official or direct seller. My apologies.

Of course linking to retired or old style bands is nearly impossible to link to a retailer.

One of my ‘holy grail’s I never bought was the series 7 year dark cherry / purple 45mm leather link. Missed out on that one.

This thread would be two pages long if it was just non-eBay/mercari/poshmark, is all. If you look around eBay, there are sellers just as legit as Woot.

Woot is owned by Amazon and everyone knows Amazon is one of the least legit stores on the web.

It also feels like the so-called Carbon Neutral bands are even less likely to show up in discount retail sales as maybe Apple is dumping fewer of them at EOL

I’ve been accused of promoting my own listings before. The few bands I’ve sold I’ve done on marketplace. I showed my profile history from all the sites I link to, it got deleted by mods because I don’t think this conversation you’ve started over and over is on topic.

I live in Southern California, go ahead and check all my links for listings from that region…

Someone was promoting their own links on here last week and I made sure mods took action.

People in our community who sell bands don’t want to pay eBay fees, I promise you. And eBay et al have money back policies and often return options on top of that.

You don’t want this thread to exist. We get it!

k.. let me know the next time Apple sells a band for less than half retail and we'll talk.

Of course linking to retired or old style bands is nearly impossible to link to a retailer.
So by your logic guess we shouldn't link to those at all then? I mean, if retailers don't sell old bands and we're out of the blue not supposed to link to secondhand sellers and wholesalers... I guess the deal's just don't exist!

You can get one for like $30 on eBay.. but I guess since you're so allergic, call Apple Support and order it as a replacement part for only $109. They'll set you up with a DIY repair.
