First off, I'd like to say thank you for taking the time to scour the internet for all these awesome deals on bands. I've picked up a few based on your links and I don't think you get the credit you deserve for the time you spend doing this.

Unfortunately, I purchased the one in the above link and I'd like to throw out a warning to those buying bands listed as new/unused, open-box items. The seller shipped quickly, so no issue there, and it arrived inside the original box wrapped in what seemed to be a sandwich bag. The band itself appears to be in excellent, "new" condition but is rendered unwearable by a fairly strong and unpleasant odor. It's cologne or body spray or something, meaning it has at least been worn long enough to thoroughly absorb the smell. I've tried everything to remove it. Dish soap, an entire laundry cycle, letting it soak overnight in Oxyclean, baking soda, letting it dry outside in the sun, and yet the odor remains. I've even sort of forced myself to wear it a couple days at work hoping the smell would be replaced by my own. No such luck. So the band is basically trash at this point, and I wasted quite a bit of my time (way more than the $20 saved worth) trying to salvage it. Sucks because I love the Sequoia green color and it looks pristine otherwise.

Anyhoo, I'm sure this is the rare example of "you get what you pay for" with regard to these band deals, but I just thought it worth mentioning. Personally, I will never again purchase a band from any reseller that has removed it from it's original packaging and no longer trust their definitions of the terms "new" and "unused" unless it's still in said packaging 🤷‍♂️

You can’t get your time back or your olfactory trauma erased, but at least the eBay money back guarantee is there!

Unfortunately, I believe some people who list items think “open box” means only “the box is open.”

Also they listed the band material as “platinum,” so there’s more false advertising for your case 🤣

Haha fair. I did reach out to the seller (no response) before leaving a generously "neutral" 3-star review. At this point I'm over it. I knew I was buying a band listed as new that was clearly pictured outside the box so I guess it's on me. Just won't make that mistake again 🙄

When i posted it, it did look crisp and un-rippled, but cologne damage only takes but once.

For everyone’s reference, you get ebay customer service involved and they do have a delay where they try to get you to resolves among yourselves but if the seller doesn’t respond, the agent will refund you themselves.

LOL! I bought a nauseatingly stinky sport band once; can't remember the platform. It had a bad perfume smell that wouldn't go away. Contacted the seller and got a full refund and was told to keep the band. That experience certainly didn't keep me from finding many great deals on genuine "open box" bands with no signs of use.
