I don’t really know what my most expensive is as they are all in foreign currency, and a I’ll disregard the shipping as that’s high on everything, so I’ll go $104 for a Hibiscus 44mm sealed in box that is still on its way to me (from South Korea...). Mopping up the rarities for complete. I really want it in 38mm so my wife has the spectrum of red / orange/ pink, but it was literally the only one listed for quite some time that I could buy and I know how Lilac went.
Lowest is probably the bundle I bought with a Hermes S2 a few weeks back, all 44mm lightly worn (not even a patina) Fauve Barenia, Feu Epsom, black last edition Classic Buckle, Electric Pink, Black and one other I forget loops and a Midnight Blue WN for NZ$460 - about $305. And it was local so no expensive shipping. That price was after selling the Watch, orange band and a couple of third party bands. I still have a good fake SS Milanese to sell also.
I actually think Chargie’s pricing is pretty fair and also a great gauge of rarity. I don’t buy loops so I don’t know if $69 is a lot, but comparing his loop pricing is likely a good way to compare their relative rarity, and when he starts to show low stock I think a given band is about to go officially rare. If he’s sold out then you have a hunt on.
I say fair because he knows what he has got yet he doesn’t price things like UV at $250 because someone will just have to have it and pay that much. For me with his free shipping he’s actually very cost effective - my total collection cost would likely make all your eyes water as I have to pay shipping to NZ and 15% sales tax on the cost plus shipping, which ebay / Amazon etc. collect at sale time so can’t be avoided.
None of that is to say there aren’t yoinks around, but rather than compare to retail I’d almost suggest comparing to Chargie is a realistic measure of when something is a yoink.
