I'm a member at waffles.fm (if anyone wants an invite, I have 5, I think) and I usually read the music forum over there.

There are generally a lot of "if I like this band, what other bands would I like" or "music exactly like this" threads.

Or I will just browse the top downloaded and newly added albums and pick something at random, go to their myspace to give them a quick listen and if it's decent, I download.

Friends+YouTube.

One of my friend's dad is an avid music buyer. Buys a new CD or two every three days or something. So, since his and my music taste are very similar, he usually tells me of new artists, and I YouTube them.

I have a friend like that too. It's great as I don't have a ton of time to surf for stuff like that. Good music friends are hard to find!

Mixtape.me

Check it out. I highly recommend it. It's a website that you use to create a playlist that can be listened to by anyone, all over the world. You can stream other peoples playlists too and that's how I discover my music.

Well discovering a new music is the art and this art is learned by heart. If we really want to discover a new music then we can find it from any natural beauty or the any moment of any thing. Like from crying of the baby to singing of the birds we can play the music.

Mostly last.fm but I also like to find out what music the bands I like listen to or were influenced by and then I go check that out too.

By keeping my eyes (and ears) open. I have had Sirius music at home as part of my Dish Network subscription for years. I use Pandora. I go to concerts and get there in time to hear the opening act(s). Occasionally I'll put "so what are you listening to today?" as my facebook status and see what my friends say. I use Shazam when I'm out and about. I read music reviews. I use the Genius feature in iTunes.

If you're paying attention, there's a lot of music info out there.
