Man, a TV channel wanting people to watch its shows. What a despicable bunch.

The point that I think is being poorly articulated is that rather then have some legitimate authority host it, for example Woz, who is more likely to add something from a genuinely authoritative perspective they have two people hosting that seems to be driven for pure ratings and are not professional documentary hosts which won't necessarily add to the quality of the documentary...I think there is some validity to the point.

I think Adam and Jamie will make the perfect hosts, because they have similar spirits to Steve Jobs' spirit. They both put a great deal of importance on creativity and being innovative with their ideas.

It is a sign of the end of commercial TV...

No wait it's just another TV show on a celebrity...

Hold on...it's hosted by other celebrities talking about a guy
Who shunned public exposure...

Oh...I get it...it's a TV program that acts just like google...summing up the common and already available information....

Maybe everyone should watch the documentary first before you condemn it. You never know it could be good.

No. I'll check back here later for a report.
Used to watch them...
Now Adam gives me the heebie-jeebies and Jamie reminds me of a serial killer.

iGenius: How Steve Jobs Changed The World Airing Tonight On Discovery Channel at 8pm ET.

Not very impressed so far. Pretty generalized info and the mythbusters guys don't really seem into it.

agreed, thought it was ok, the script could have been better. Nothing that we don't know already.

I was going to watch it but I've already watched a couple of similar shows and think I'll just wait until my pre-ordered copy of the biography comes

Preferred 'game changers documentary'

It just felt a little 'rough' to me, but I guess it's difficult to fit the life of somebody as extraordinary as Steve Jobs into a one hour special. :apple:

I was hoping they would have it on the iTunes store so those of us not in the US could see it, but it doesn't seem to be there. :(

Meh. Seemed like it was thrown together in 3 days and offered nothing we didn't already know.

IGenius: How Steve Jobs Changed the World

"New. Celebrate the life of Steve Jobs - a technological visionary who introduced personal computing to the masses. Featuring interviews with the people whose lives he transformed.
to be recorded... Sunday 10.00pm Discovery (uk)"

Sky+ box UK

Personally, I like Adam and Jamie (and all the gang from Mythbusters). I even like Adam's faux English (London) Film Director accent he uses when monologing in the "to camera bits" during the show. I am sure they will do a great job.

And, I like Steve... and Apple.

So, come Sunday, I'll be watching along, in good old blighty... around 10pm (uk) 2pm Cupertino time... and I shall raise a glass or two of good California wine... to celebrate the life of Steve Jobs.

Cheers Steve!

Agreed,

and saying that Adam and Jamie hosted it is kind of a joke. They just had 30 second segments before and after each commercial break. The guy with the white beard whose name I don't even know would have been more aptly named the host, IMO, given it seems like he had a lot more screen time than Adam and Jamie combined.
