Disk Imaging Software for OSX

I want a simple disk imaging application to make full compressed images of the OSX drive - not Time Machine.

I have been using both True Image and Ghost on my PC, I want something similar for the Mac.

Any suggestions on good products? Any free imaging software?

Disk Utility (in the /Applications/Utilities folder).

Oh really? I didn’t even think that would include some kind of image backup ability – will check it out tonight.

I use Carbon Copy Cloner. It's free and easy to use and does just what you need. You can even choose which files or folders to not include if there's anything you don't need to save time and space.
