I put a new Verbatin USB 3.0 64GB disk on key, into my iMac and it's recognized and works. When I insert it into my new RMBP it is not recognized. Any other disk on key I use with my RMBR is fine as well as other USB devices. Any ideas?

Does not work on both USB ports on my RMBP. Any other USB device works just fine on the same ports.

It is Mac OS Extended (Journaled). It shows on the iMac but not in any way on my RMBP.

Yes I understand that part. It is possible that your Macbook is detecting the drive, but not mounting it. If this is the case, it will still show up in Disk Utility. The root of the drive will show up in the sidebar, with the partition below it. If it is detecting the device but not mounting it, the partition will be 'grayed out.' If this is the case, you can highlight the partition and use the Mount button.

It does not show in Disk Utility.

Does it have a light or something else that might indicate that it is / isn't receiving power? Have you tried verifying / repairing this disk from the iMac?
Thanks for the tips but it's not working. It has no light, so can't check that. I verified and repaired on my iMac but still, RMBP won't recognize it.
