3M more subs in a quarter where more people would be utilizing this wasting of time doesn’t seem like that much. I would imagine they were hoping for more.

I don't need to see AppleTV+'s numbers to know that Disney+ has a TON more paid subscribers. I'm guessing in the neighborhood of double.
Probably a lot higher, since a lot of AppleTV + subscribers got it free. But if you want to see Disney Content in 4K it won't be on Apple TV, another reason.

For entertaining/educating kids is a bargain

As a alternative if local movie theaters are not open, on Sept 4th, Disney + will offer you to watch Mulan (2020) for $30. For more read here.

^$29.99 on top of a monthly rental fee? Not for anything they offer.

I can get Disney+ free for another year, thanks to Verizon FiOS. Will hold out as long as possible before I sign up again though.

If you take your family to the movies how much does that cost as a comparison? It's an interesting experiment. Since its their service it could really make Disney a ton on money if it does well. Time will tell. ;)

The Average Revenue Per User for Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu SVOD is going down. I'm guessing this is due to more people subscribing to the $12.99 Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu bundle and the $69.99 Disney+ annual pass.

The increase in Average Revenue Per User for Hulu SVOD + Live TV is likely due to the $10 price jump we saw in Dec. 2019.

I wonder how much Disney is losing per subscriber.

I finally watched some stuff on D+ and I was really impressed by these quality of the content streamed. It was so good that watching the lower quality versions of the same movies on iTunes felt weird.

Their UI needs a lot of work, and I couldn't find an easy way to sort their franchises by release date or cinematic timeline. Not a big deal for most franchises but Disney has a lot of content that is consumed in a variety of popular ways. Also, it will be great once they get all relevant content loaded (I am looking at you MCU).

I really wish they would be more generous with selling digital copies of their content so we wouldn't have to stream it to get 4K atmos but I suspect they want to stop selling movies all together.

How is Disney in terms of languages and subtitles? Amazon and Apple are super limited and sometimes I can't even watch a movie together with my gf because they don't have English subs (let alone original audio).. so disappointing in a 2020 global world... :(

If Apple can afford to have a monthly movie special on the level of Greyhound then they may catch up quicker.

I have subscribed to Apple TV for this sole reason ( I was really looking forward to it at the cinema). However, I was very disappointed in the film and whilst I’ll use the month fee to watch what I can, theres not much else that interests me ( The Servant, For all Mankind...maybe the Morning Show?) I won’t subscribe again until the Mighty Eighth is released ...if it ever is.
