Do you think Comcast would have the same issues if they bought it? NBC, Universal, etc..they own a bunch....

The key difference is that Comcast also provides cable services. Disney and its subsidiaries are just content.

People were surprised when they acquired NBCUniversal. Same issue with the current Fox deal. However, it makes sense for Comcast at the time because it allowed them to properly organize their portfolio into the correct sectors. For example, Comcast also ran E!/Golf/Style/G4(defunct), but they couldn't scale their entertainment sector without NBCU.
