This appears to be an issue for both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s users in the app display settings for 4.7" screens. I have the exact same issue on an iPhone 6 that I upgraded to iOS 9 and restored a backup from an iPhone 5s via iTunes. Will have to check out iOS 9.1 beta...

I can confirm this. I bought a 6s for myself over the weekend and gave the 6 to my wife. Restored hers from iTunes and she has the problem but I, luckily, don't.
 
I believe the problem lies with the zoom feature. I restored from iCloud moving from a 5S to a 6S and have experienced the same issue. One thing I noticed though is that when you turn off zoom and the phone restarts its says "Zoom enabled" on the screen. I think iOS 9 is actually turning zoom off for some apps and not others.
 
For all those suggesting to just set up as a new device, that's not possible for people with HEALTH APP data. There is currently NO way to export or transfer that information, other than to restore from a backup.

So if you set up as a new device, that data is unrecoverable.

Hate it when the Apple Store or even MR members suggest a fresh install as a solution. Apple shouldn't offer a back up and restore option if it can't execute it without carrying bugs. This always seems to be the first "solution" to most problems.
I'm sorry, but aside from walking into Cupertino and fixing the code yourself, what would you suggest as an alternative for people who don't want to wait for a fix via software update?

It's a standard troubleshooting practice among the whole industry, not just Apple. You have your set of options. One of them (usually the last one before starting to look at hardware issues) involves doing a clean install. If you're not willing to do that, then you must live with the problem until it is fixed via other means like a software update. Obviously it's not ideal, but that's the world we live in.

Of course you don't want to offer it as a first solution, but it's still a completely valid solution.

I dont understand why iOs hasnt gained a "time Machine" backup/restore option. Let me restore per app and its contents based on my last backup. It seems to make perfect sense for a mobile OS.
I've submitted feedback to Apple about that a few times. Might be time to send it in again ;)

Have you ever worked in an IT Environment? That's a common solution EVERYWHERE. Besides, because of iCloud it's not a big hassle. All your mail (or even your Gmail or Outlook mail) will automatically repopulate, so will your Notes, Contacts, Calendar, Photos (if you have iCloud Photos turned on) and any other app that uses iCloud will repopulate with data. All you have to do is reinstall apps, and since you already downloaded it, you just tap and they reinstall. You'll lost text messages. Not that big a deal. And for what it's worth, this bug isn't affecting everyone. I got a new iPhone 6s and did a restore from an iCloud backup that was from my iPhone 4. No problems.

No; see, this is comparable to the inner workings of the car / iPhone in question.

A better comment would be... When you buy a new car, do you remove and transfer your personal belongings from the old car? Or are you expected to leave your stuff behind (maps, notes, messages (see what I did there?)) and start fresh?

The new car has its own oil, why would anyone bring their own? You're simply trying to move your stuff, and then, you find out the car has a broken glovebox - so you're told you'll need to repair it yourself to store your things.

There's the correct analogy. ;)
 
All I'm saying is that it's frustrating this is always the first "solution" to every problem. It makes the entire restore process appear flawed when it's always the first suspect. I appreciate the work the engineers do, I really do. I just hate losing data.

It should never be the first solution, people who are suggesting it right away are just throwing out an "easy" fix (easy for them, not for the person with the problem).

I also agree that it's frustrating when it is necessary. As my second post implied, I wish there was a "migration assistant" for iOS as well so we wouldn't need to lose things like message history, app data, etc... something that isn't just a one-bundle-restore-all that is currently iOS backup files.

Restored from iTunes backup from 5S... have this annoying bug. Practically makes the Wallet app unusable (since you can't edit or add cards easily).

Upgraded from iPhone 5 to 6s. Got the wallet bug, but what's really annoying is the calculator...when I swipe up from the lock screen to access the calculator, it crashes. Doesn't do this with the flashlight, clock or camera.

Calculator opens fine (and to the right size) once I unlock the phone.
 
OK, I feel less crazy now. I noticed this on my wife's 6 last night when she went to delete and read her new card that had a different number. Her 6 was restored from her 5c backup, so this makes sense. The other workaround I found for Wallet is to go into Settings -> Wallet and do the delete/add from there.
 
Does anyone have a bug that causes the camera to not activate? My 6s, most of the time (over 50%), will show a blurry screen when activating the camera. I have to open and close it, sometimes 4 or 5 times for the camera to work.

I encountered the same issue where cards in the wallet were zoomed after restoring from a 5s backup. For kicks I did a hard reset (hold the power and home buttons down together until the apple logo shows up) and miraculously it fixed the issue. My cards showed up normal size after the reset. Not sure if this is a fix or if I got lucky.
 
Got my 6s on launch day and have only just set it up (busy busy busy :/ ). I restored from my 5s backup in iTunes and my wallet is fine. My 5s is running 8.4.1 so it seems to be an iOS 9 issue.
 
For those of you who actually have this issue... Have you tried 'Reset All Settings'? This seems like the correct first step. Kill the settings and leave the data in place.

These arguments about 'Set up as new' as the first option are nonsense. That's not how troubleshooting works, it's just laziness. Troubleshooting, unless you are absolutely sure of the issue and it's resolution, starts with the least invasive option and works it's way up to the more invasive... up to and including data loss, if necessary. Only... if necessary.
  1. Restart (power and on normally). Never hard restart a device if it isn't frozen (or you need to restore in DFU mode). You're creating damaged data, or causing data loss if everything in memory hasn't been written to your storage media.
  2. Check settings for the item in question, is it just set wrong? Toggle the setting, in case it's stored wrong and displayed incorrectly. In some cases, turn it (the setting) off, restart, and tun it back on.
    Note: FaceTime and iMessage issues are often resolved by this.
  3. Remove and re-install the app if it's one that can be removed. This removes the app, app data and settings for the app. If cloud/service based, only cached data is affected.
  4. Reset network settings, if the issue is related to connectivity in any way.
  5. Reset all settings. This removes all settings from the 'settings' app, that isn't considered user data, or vital info (like which email addresses you have setup, and you iCloud/iTunes account), etc...
    Note: If you're having major issues, or just want to be cautious... do this prior to backing up for troubleshooting or when you're going to migrate to a new device.

    Back your **** up. No excuses, do it. PERIOD. Unless a backup fails to restore AFTER you have one, all data loss is on you.

  6. Reset all content and settings. This leaves the existing installed OS, and removes everything from on top of it (settings, apps, user data, everything).
    WARNING: this will erase all of your data from the device.
  7. Restore the OS via iTunes or Apple Configurator (corp or education environments). Preferably in DFU mode. This reinstalls the Operating system from scratch, including secondary component firmware, in case the OS is damaged or was patched incorrectly/incompletely (bad OTA delta update).
    Note: Apple says you shouldn't have to do this because the OS is in a protected space on the device... I think the code monkeys are too proud of their banana art and need to come down out of the trees. This fixes all kinds of things that nothing else will, even when you restore from backup.
  8. Setup as new... Only after the steps above have not resolved it, and the device is unusable or you just can't live with it until the next x.x.x update (read as OS.AddFeatures.BugResolution).
    Note: Every step before 8, you are restoring from a backup (preferably iCloud). iCloud because the device will re-download new copies of apps instead of using possibly broken versions that were previously copied to iTunes.
Yes, there are additional things that can be done in between some of those steps, and third party options to recover or merge specific items (usually paid apps that require unencrypted iTunes backups they can snoop around in).
No, they are not a good idea unless your OCD is winning today, or you have a legal requirement to keep specific data on your active device.

I am only here to prevent you from upsetting our robot overlords.
 
Wow, first the shutoff bug and now this.

REALLY glad I'm not in a rush to upgrade my phone. Hopefully the bugs will be sorted by the time I pull the trigger. (I have a 6 and want a 6s Plus)
 
Every year I give thanks to the millions of " gotta be first " early adopters! Thank you for finding all the bugs before I get my shiny new device! The Watch, phone, Computor and laptops! You guys are awesome! I plan on getting the 6s Plus in December and the Watch next year! That should should be enough time to get the ship right and sailing smooth! Keep up the great work guys! Apple should pay you guys instead of their weak IT people who for some reason can't catch these things! ROCK ON
