Almost a pointless thread...

Well I got the 16GB wifi iPad and wow! I have 9.9GB left and have like no apps I'm disappointed because I had dreams about all the apps I was gonna have on the iPad but I have maybe 3 that I actually use. Any apps to recommend and post how much space you have left : ) ps I love my iPad and my iPad and iPhone 4 have matching wallpapers ;)

Why did you get the 16GB??? That's the lowest end. You should get the 64GB or at least 32GB.

Or... get this: http://www.airstash.com/

If it's not too late, change it for a higher capacity iPad. 16GB may not be enough, depending on your music collection. Cya!

Let me clarify. I love the iPad but thought I was going to use it more as a big iPod touch but I actually use it as a laptop and do nothing on it that I do on my iPhone 4. I am disappointed, in me, that I have like no apps but I am disappointed in the iPad/Apple because of how little free apps there are. I then asked if there were any must have iPad apps. I sound like a complete idiot now but that's what happens when there is a 14 year old boy on a forum with mature adults.

Don't worry, dude.

Get GoodReader and if you need to write essays or do homework get Pages.

Get AppShopper

There's a nice web browser called: Earth.

There's a lot of free Apps out there.
Tons of games for free.
Sometimes certain Apps are offered for a huge discount or even free for a limited time.

Just take your time to explore.

Optimize your Music Library. Only sync the music you really like, not necessarily whole albums. Do the same for photos.
You still have plenty of space to add tons of Apps. Most apps average below 20MB in size. So imagine how many you can fit in just 1GB !!

And I would imagine you got your iPad as a birthday gift, because your birthday was last month, right? Then it may be harder for you to exchange it for a model with more RAM.

Anyways, have fun! You'll love it in no time...

I got the 16GB because I'm only 14 and that is more then enough. I'm already done adding stuff and still have 10.7 GB available

I see why the thread is so strange now. Well, good luck with your new iPad and I hope you enjoy it kid :)

Great! Then I would assume there's nothing for you to worry about. This was just like a first-timer panic alert. 16GB must be good enough for you after all.
Enjoy your iPad.

Tomorrow I'm going out of the country for a week, and I'm only bringing my iPad. I'm not bringing my MBP on purpose. Let's see how well the iPad works for me as my only device.

Thanks. Many people have ridiculed me on these forums for being a kid but I'm a huge gadget geek and know a lot more about technology than some of the people at like best buy or radio shack.

That sounds cool. Something that I learned from using the iPad a lot is that I go to absolutely no websites that have flash (not because I can't but I just don't visit them even if I don't know if it has flash or not) report back to the forum when you get back and tell us how you did :)

You have very sad dreams if they're about loading apps onto your ipad. Include me in those disappointed by you.

I'm a complete technology nerd but it's all good cause I'm popular at school I just keep the two separate. :)

Must....hold....back....comments...Just keep telling yourself you're better than this. You're better than this.

Lol go ahead and say it. I like it when people say mean things because it allows me to work on the imperfections.

It just keeps getting stranger.

Exactly. The OP is complaining because there are not enough free apps. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?! Then sell the iPad and please don't buy another one as no one is obligated to give you anything for free. Your thinking that you are entitled to free stuff shows a deep mental imbalance. A 14 year old should know the difference in most cases. Your money would be better spent on some kind of therapy.

Don't ride him just because he's a kid.

OP, the reason people are picking at you is because you're complaining about not having enough apps and yet there's a store FULL of apps. What we can't help you with it understanding what app to buy or not or how to pay for them if you're not able to spend much money in the store. Although I don't see why you wouldn't since your parents bought you the iPad in the first place.

~ To save on stuff tell your parents about the sales on iTunes cards at Walmart and other various stores right now. ($50 iTunes card for $35 etc...)

~ Get an account at Appshopper.com and make a wish list. Any app that goes on sale you'll get an email telling you about the price drop. It helps you find the apps that you want without checking every day.

~ Other than that, browse the store and see what's in it and try some apps. Don't pay attention to too many of the reviews for free apps. Download them and try them for yourself. Keep them if you like them or delete them.

Hope that helps. We want to raise little Apple nerds around here. We aren't here to hold hands all the time but we are able to help when there's a real issue to solve. :apple:

+1 on the comment about getting iTunes cards. You can often find them at a discount. Tell yor relatives that's what you'd like for birthday, thanksgiving, or what ever holiday.

Folks never know what to get teenagers. You'll make their life easier, plus even a $15 iTunes card can buy a lot of decent games at $.99 each.

There are some great free apps too, like Evernote that works great on iPad and iPhone. Websites and apps like App Shopper can help you find them.

For god's sake people stop being so bloody arrogant. The OP was saying (albeit slightly confusingly) that he has a lot of EXTRA SPACE and he thought he would find more apps to fill up the iPad.

So why don't you just recommend some good apps and stop being so damn snarky. Seriously the people around these forums need to stop being so immature with their snide comments. If you have nothing useful or helpful to say then just shut your mouths!

Edit: just read the whole thread and realised that some people are on the right track. But my comments still stand to the rest of you.

Ah, that was what he was saying. Thank you so much for the translation.

And I hope the OP pays attention in his English class and learns how to express himself more clearly -- composition, useful in life and in online forums! :D

That's for you. I have a 100gb music collection and a 16gb iPad which still has 7gb free.

These are just some of my iPad only apps

Download an app called AppShopper, it tells you which apps are free for a while, which had price decreased and many more.
