What if I want to exchange my "broken" Verizon iPad for an AT&T iPad as a replacement? Is this possible?

I called today about a mark on my display and the guy told me over the phone that I should bring it in for a replacement. He told me that I didn't even need an appointment. I walked over to the store and they gave me a brand new iPad. The iPad had a sticker in it that said "Reserved."

Hmm do those quotation marks mean that it's not really broken but you're claiming it as such? Anyway I just got back from my second trip to the apple store today and got another retail swap, but this time from 64gb verizon white to 64gb at&t white. But I did this only because they didn't have any 64gb verizon whites left. So yes, it is possible, but sort of frowned upon if done intentionally.

What were your reasons for returning?
