How do they compare to the stock ear buds?

Skullcandy Ink'd has way better sound than the earbuds in iPods, that's for sure. Not sure if it's because the Ink'd earbuds made my earholes bigger  I liked the Ink'd before they broke and have sound on only one earbud. What is the best ear/headphone under $30? I listen to Electro(hop, pop), Hip-Hop, maybe some Pop so I would like some decent bass.

pretty much anything is better then earbuds they suck big time. 3 Iphone never bothered with them just leave them in the box. you can buy better earphones at the dollar store no joke.

another vote for http://www.meelec.com they have all kinds of sales too on there facebook as well as twitter I actually own just because I got suck good deals. they also have weekly contest. fair prices for retail but of course of you can get it on sale even better. of win a set still better.

Do you know if any retailers carry them. Buying ears buds without hearing them bothers me. I feel better if I don't like them I want the option to return them.

Here's another vote for Meelecs...I bought mine on a whim after a youtube review and they were $29 listed.I put them in my cart and I got them for 14.99$...So check out the site and see if anything appeals to you. They do sound great for the price.

The Meelec M6 have great ergonomics, but I wish they made a version with more bass.

This weekend they have a special for their bassy wooden headphones. I haven't tried them.

for those with the meelec m6 and/or m6p, how long is the plug? wondering if you're using a case? am using a pixelskin hd and some of my IEMs will not fit. from pictures, it seems like the m6p's plug is less "L" shaped compared with the m6...

I would highly recommend the Jays a-Jays Three for under $70. They are easily worth $200. You can get them new on eBay since they are rarely sold in popular stores in the U.S.

I'm using the M6P with a Mophie Juice Pack without any problems.

Sweat resistant earbuds?

Some nice suggestions here but are any of these sweat resistant? Cheap earbuds are a necessity if workout perspiration is going to destroy them regardless.

Perfect! Ill be getting one then, thanks a lot. And Schnider ill porbably be getting those a-Jays

Honestly, Iv'e had the chance to own and listen to many great pairs out there and so far the a-Jays Three are by far my favorite. You would be really happy with them I'm sure..

I used the a-Jays at the gym and have no issues :) They work perfectly and stay in the ears no matter what you do.

Do the a-jays have really good bass? I'm a bass lover.

Yes and so am I.

I've had 2 pair of Ink'd and the were fine. I've had a pair of V-Moda Vibes, a pair of Sony MDR (not sure what model), and Sennheiser CX300. My favorite were the Ink'd. But that's just me.

To each their own for sure :). If you like SC's then go for it, I personally don't like em nor recommend them, but they sure sound better than the stock ones :).

I just got a pair of these today. They're great. I wish I hadn't wasted $10-$15 here and there every couple months on cheap headphones that would break. I could've saved a lot of money haha.

How much did you pay for these?

I love Shure earphones. I think it's worth the price, which in the world of Audiophiles, sits nowhere near the top end. The first time I got one, I had to relisten to everything I have. And not just the albums I love, I discovered things I didn't know I cared for simply because now I can see the detail and appreciate it.

I've owned the E3c, E4c, and presently use the SE530 and SRH840.

Honestly I have a ton of headphones. I have Shure's, Beats, Ultimate Ears, and even a pair of Airdrives just to name drop a few.

My current favorites are from Kicker. I ordered both the 101m and 141 from Amazon for less than 100 bucks total. The 101m which I use daily, I got for like 40 bucks sound better than the Beats I paid 150 for and they even have an inline mic. Great sounds especially for the price.

I also really like the ones I bought from Siege Audio (I believe they are called the Stealth). These are really nice and sound great though the bass could be slightly better. They cost me 50 but sound on par with the 100 dollar Ultimate Ears I bought a few months back. Plus they are essentailly waterproof. I used them while snowboarding and dunked them completely. Still work perfectly.

I will add that Skullcandys are crap despite what others have said. They sound ok out of the box but are so fragile that they are just a waste of cash.

As for my opinion on the Beats, don't waste the money. You are paying for the name and the name only. The Shure's sound better and are on sale quite often. Even at Best Buy since you can use the free coupons they send you on them.

To the guy that used his discount, you got a decent discount because they are a Monster product. All Monster crap is overpriced with a huge mark-up. When I worked at the Buy the cables were like 80-90% off with the discount. What's funny is the quality of the cables especially were neglegible despite what the stupid trainings would say.

Anyway, I have spent way too much money on earphones.

I agree 100% on your thoughts about the beats. Having owned a pair of the studios, I'll tell you they don't even come close to the sound of my Audio Technica ATH ESW9's or my Grado 325is.
