I'm going naked with just a leather sleeve when the phone is in my pocket. In my experience, the phone will get scratches on the sides/back if dirt gets in between the case and the phone.

I bought the leather Apple case and will use it every now and then. I do the same thing with all of my other iPhones.

I don't see the point in buying AppleCare because if you plan on upgrading every year there is literally no reason to have it. You get one year of care from Apple, and the extension would only matter if you plan to keep it longer.

This time around I do see the 6 Plus as a two year phone, but if something were to happen to it after year 1 and before year 2, I would just upgrade and get the 6S Plus…. $100 for AppleCare is just a waste IMO. (when the phone is $200-$400….

Just depends on your lifestyle and with you consider yourself clumsy. Face everyone is bound to drop something but some people are a lot more prone to it then others.

I need a case because I'm relatively active with outdoor stuff, camping, hiking, climbing. I'm broken things inside my pack before lol.

Cases don't bother me I've gotten so used to them I prefer them. To me an iPhone is hard to hang onto without a case. Plus it gives me some peace of mind. I also get AppleCare+ too.

I've dropped my phone several times, so I'll definitely be using a case.

Normal AppleCare doesn't have coverage for accidental damage which the main cause of failure for any phone.

The entire point of a case is to provide coverage from accidental damage.

Good point. Do you live in a world without gravity?

lol good one.

I'm not going to use a case most of the time. I will get one though for situations that I may be in where there is a greater chance for me to drop the phone. Like when i'm 4 games in to a night of beer pong while watching football with friends and I want to take my phone out as I sink another ball. I'll probably use a case then. 90% of the rest of the time i'll go no case. I have applecare+ on both phones.

Depends on what Apple rep you get when you walk into the Apple store I guess. I've seen people go into Apple Store's with broken screens and get them fixed without a question.

You don't need a case usually for day to day. I keep one on hand though.

That's true. You could get lucky and I've seen it on this forum a few times.

However I usually see it accidental damage covered at no cost to people with AppleCare+ over the regular AppleCare.

I'm not the type of person that gets lucky like that whether I have it or not so I'm better off having it.

i'm really not a fan of all those cases! i can still remember when the bumper for the iphone 4 came out and everybody was so excited about it and then people took them off and the whole antenna band was scratched due to little stones and dirt getting in there....

so what i do is, i always get a little pouch like this:

i think it's just sad to hide that beautiful iphone design under some ugly case :D

I also feel that a case takes away from the phone and have really considered not using one this time around. But I've dropped my phone on few occasions and I'm sure my screen would have shattered if not for the case so its a bit of a rock and a hard place.

I drop my phone weekly, I can't imagine what it would look like after two years of no case.
