Do Not Disturb - small frustration

Same here, Dice with Buddies still sent audible notifications as did email when Do Not Disturb was turned on last night..

What's up with that?

I use my iPhone as my bedside clock (clock app) while being plugged into a speaker/dock. I didn't realize that the phone has to to be in the "Locked" state or DND does not work. Phone was beeping all night....

I've had DnD on all day and have it set to only allow calls through from contacts but yet I'm still getting calls (non-silenced) coming through from numbers I don't recognize. Is this supposed to happen or am I doing something wrong? Seems useless if it doesn't silence the calls like I thought it was supposed to.

I think I have noticed another issue with DND. If you are in DND mode then icloud backup does not seem to happen. I think I have seen this behavior on both my iphone and my ipad. Anyone else notice it?

My issue with Do Not Disturb is that your allowed group of people can call through and it will ring but text messages don't make a sound or light up the screen when the phone is locked. This seems bizarre to me. Why does it continue to silence texts when you clearly want these certain people to get through?

Just started to use DND myself and noticed the same.

I thought it would allow all notifications from Favourites, such as SMS as well as voice calls. This would be useful as i use SMS more than voice calls.

Bit disappointed by that really 🙁

This needs to be fixed in the next release. DND should work regardless of whether the phone is locked or not. 😡

This is strange. Just today I'm using iPad and noticed I got notified for email but no sound. When I look at the status bar, sure enough I saw the crescent moon there.

It is disappointing. Allowing calls but not SMS just doesn't make much sense. I sent feedback to Apple about this lacking feature. Hopefully the next update brings some good news.

Just done the same, hopefully sorted within the next few updates.
