Do Not try to buy from Target

Ordered a Alum 42 S2 from on 9/20.
They have confirmed a ship date twice and have bumped them each time.
Next ship date is 11/20
I have no faith that they will deliver.
I called customer service, I got passed to 3 people. Each time I was told nothing could be done, except cancel my order.
I bought this watch 1/2 with a giftcard, from a previous return done from my checking account, and 1/2 from my checking account.
Not only have they held the funds from my checking account since 9/20, they will not give me a cash refund for the gift card amount.
I am completely unsatisfied with their service and would never buy from them again. I do not want another gift card.
Please do not support Target, they are not trustworthy and not customer friendly.
Yes - I have seen this item in stock at my local store while I wait on back order.

FWIW I ordered my Watch Series 2 from Target weeks ago and I was able to pick it up in store the same day I ordered. Shipping fulfilment may be a different story however.
 
I walked into an Apple Store a month ago and got my watch without any waiting. Why in the world did you order it through Target?

Guess you were lucky. I used iStocknow searching for a couple weeks after the release and could not find the configuration I wanted until I lucked out and found it available for pickup at a Target. Why do I care? it was convenient, available, and I was still able to buy Applecare through Apple directly.

Not to mention the one time I tried to goto the Apple Store just to try on the watch they said it would be an hour and a half wait. This was on a week day.

Really? Then you got lucky. Because the Apple Watch 2 is strained. Why wouldn't someone order the Watch 2 through Target or any other third party store? It's just another Avenue and in some respects, they can ship faster than Apple can. The OP had an unfortunate experience with Target. That doesn't mean everyone's experience will end up as his.

But don't make it sound like anyone can just walk into an Apple Store and walk out with an Apple Watch 2. Every Store and stock supply is different. Timing is everything.

Wait, they priced their AP Series 1 at BF pricing? I need to get a 42MM, but it's not worth $300 to me. I was looking at the $230 mark.

Yes and no. I bought my fiancé a 38mm at regular price the other day for xmas because they had plenty of them in stock. I then asked if I could come in and get the price adjustment on BF. They told me no, but I can return it and buy right back for BF price. All I need to do is bring in the receipt. This prevents me from having to rush there, fight lines and all other BF madness. I already have it.

That's nice. Might do that, but with finding parking on BF, forget it. I am just hoping they offer the same price online.

True, $70 is a huge difference. Though I might not get the Apple Watch depending on the tablet market. Looking to get a Windows 10 x86 based tablet or going with another iPad.

Does anyone know if Target will have the 42mm Series 1 on sale as well?

Target is one of the only Big Bix stores having a Black Friday sale on the Series 1 in my area that I'm aware of. They had a big sale last year on the Apple Watch during Black Friday.

That's great. But not every Target has them readily available for a walk in. Both of my Targets have no available stock at this junction. And likely won't until after the holidays. Everyone's experience will vary.

I tried to do that today, but Target told me no returns during Black Friday. I am going to try a different location.

Two stores said the same thing, but they lost a sale with their stupidity. I got an order online and it should ship in the beginning of December.

We'll see when I go tonight. If nothing else, hopefully I can buy another and return one later.
