I tried to do that today, but Target told me no returns during Black Friday. I am going to try a different location.

Definitely try another store. No returns...lol, is that even possible?

Most stores have policies like that that are very specific during the Black Friday sales to prevent this very scheme.

Some don't, but maybe you will have some luck.

And it's not "no returns" it's "no returns but buy again same exact product for the Black Friday sale price if product was not faulty or defective".

Refund, repurchase.

Didn't matter really...they still had a ton of them, both sizes and series at 1pm.

I got the 42mm with a 5% discount through Target's Red Card, which helps a little more. Surprised not many people are buying them based off their availability online.

I got a 42mm Space Gray Series 1 on Thanksgiving night for $228 - 5% red card discount plus tax. My local target had two lines for Electronics, one for iPhones and one for all other Apple products. I initially got in the iPhone line which had about a dozen people in and it wasn't moving at all. Then the person in front of me pointed out that this line was for iPhones only and there was another line. Switched to that line and there were only two people ahead of me. Bought the Apple Watch and an iPad Air 2 32GB and was out the door in about 15 minutes. Could have been out the door in half the time if I didn't get in the wrong line.

This was my 3rd Apple Watch purchase. First two were for me and my wife. This one is a Christmas gift for my mom. I wasn't in a rush or willing to wait in lines, so I ordered it online for $198 (Series 1 38mm). Shipped yesterday. Couldn't be happier with Target at this point.

Update - They bumped me again
I have spend hours on the phone with Target.
Bottom-line - Do not shop online with Target - Worst Customer Service - No resolution -
They want to credit me back to my gift card, which i threw away after the purchase, why would I save the gift card.
They can not commit and continue to hold my money...Stay far away

Might want to see if they can help you at a local store? They could hold one aside for you.

I understand your predicament. But I disagree and Target has been accommodating on many transactions. To each their own clearly.

I just bought a series 1 42 mm for $229 at Target and picked it up at a local store. They have stock now.

I got it for that price online with the 5% red card discount on Black Friday. It's a great price for a great device if you don't need the Series 2 upgrades. I really love it so far.

Target is actually now the late-Christmas shopping retailer for the Apple Watch. Not sure if they have S2's in stock, but I got my S1 during the Black Friday sale using the Red Card. Perfect.

Series 2 are still fairly limited. At least in the aluminum model.
