Do NOT update to 7.0.3 yet if you want a jailbreak according to musclenerds' twitter.

It's not wise yet since they still haven't gone through the new update to check if holes were closed or not.

"MuscleNerd ‏@MuscleNerd 2h
Potential iOS7 jailbreakers should stay away from today's 7.0.3 for now. Too early to tell if it closes anything important for JB."

EDIT: MuscleNerd updated later on the day I posted and said that if you are w/ an iOS7 device then you can update to 7.0.3, if you have anything lower than 7 then don't update if you want a jb.

Is it too late up update to iOS 7.0.2 if I'm still on 6.1.2? If so does this mean I'm screwed without a jailbreak in iOS 7 if 7.0.3 doesn't work :(

IF they are still signing 7.0.2 you could option restore to it.
IF 7.0.3 does close the holes and you don't update before the window closes then you are sol for that jb.

Good to hear.
Seems like this update patched up a bunch of bugs so hope next would be the JB:D

Yea I agree. I updated my 5s. This update has been pretty awesome. My lock screen seems more responsive and my LTE connection seems to be much more responsive when going from wifi to cellular. I was having issues where my LTE data speeds were ridiculously slow immediately after disconnecting from wifi. I don't see any notes in the changelog addressing this particular issue. It might just be the result of a new firmware installation.

Anyways, definitely looking forward to jailbreaking my 5s! My previous phone was the 4s so I'm definitely eager to see how this new hardware handles all my favorite tweaks! :)

Let's just hope this JB will be available before the end of the year.

The iPhone 5 handled it pretty well for me so I have no doubt this will be the same if not better :D

Should I keep mine on iOS 7 or update to 7.0.3?

Just a heads up: updated to 7.0.3 and now I cannot airplay to jailbroken apple tv2 that's still on 4.3. Remote finds it but not airplay.

Still works fine on wife's 7.0.1 ip5.

What??? I didnt update to ios 7 waiting for a jailbreak, so this means that because of doing this, then i will never be able to have a jailbroken ios 7??? Can i update to ios 7.0.2 instead of an ota 7.0.3?

phew good thing he gave the go-ahead... I needed this update badly. My phone kept getting the blue screen of death reboot when using numbers and 7.0.3 fixed it. Now I'll wait patiently for the jailbreak.

More than likely the jailbreak will be released when a major version (i.e. 7.1) comes out.

So, do i better update now to ios 7 or do i remain on ios 6.1.2?
I am afraid some like this could happen. What if the evasion guys come up saying Do not update to 7.0.x when there is no way to install the previous one?

MuscleNerd is the only one I've seen talk about this and what he said seems very clear to me. There's a screenshot in one of my earlier posts.. Basically he said IF you're already on iOS 7 then it's fine to go to 7.0.3.

Ok, but if I am still in 6.1.2, do I better update to 7 now or can I wait until a jailbreak is released? I dont want some of them saying Dont update when it is too late to get the previous 7.X.

iOS 7.0.3 fixes so many bugs that I wouldn't want a jailbreak that didn't include those fixes. Releasing a 7.0.2 jailbreak is a non-starter.

MN has given the all clear. IF you are already on 7, there is no reason to fear 7.03. It's awesome they re-implemeted the keychain, and I like the lockscreen not showing "Slide To Unlock" on my 5S right away anymore. I likey using da fingas!!!

Honestly I don't know whats best. Personally, I'd upgrade to 7.0.3 because I don't think they'd release a JB that doesn't include 7.0.3 or 7.1 since MuscleNerd already said it's ok if you're already on 7.0

Oh I thought he said if your already on 7.x like 7.0.1 or something then it's okay to go to 7.0.3.

Thanks

Oh wow just realized 7.0 is the same thing as a 7.x. I need more sleep I guess lol

If you want to keep your jailbreak for now keep 6.1.2 since there is no jailbreak for ios 7

Haha...

Yesterday... I updated to 7.0.3 and I saw this thread and restored to 7.0.2 before they stopped signing it... now I'm going back to 7.0.3. :p

These guys are lame while I appreciate what they do release what you got don't penalize the guys who are already on board if you are good hackers you get the 7.0 out then the 7.1 then 7.2 and on. If you have the tools make the current group happy and get started for 7.1. What's the point of waiting 5 months so that your break can cover .0 and .1? get the .0 dont penalize the early birds. I think they don't have anything, or their hacking skills lack and they are nervous about their ability to get it again (.1). so they just wait and cover both

The problem is after they release a JB Apple can close the holes they used in an update. I think they wait till a point upgrade like 7.1 so that more people can take advantage of it and we can all be on a relatively stable build with bug fixes.

I understand but I'd rather just have it now and the 7.1+ people be screwed until they get their own jailbreak. They get to buy it and jailbreak instantly and we have to do all the waiting for them?
